The Lightning Dagger is unit equipment added in the Summer Siege update, built specifically for the Sovereign (Djinn) unit. It raises the unit’s Damage and Range while rewriting the “Djinn’s Judgment” passive into a chaining lightning attack that also freezes enemies.
Quick answer: Buy a Tier 1 Summer Portal for 1,000 Gems from the Tidal Siege Shop, clear it repeatedly to raise it to Tier 5, then farm that stage. The Lightning Dagger drops at a 2% rate with a 50-clear pity guarantee.
Before you farm the Lightning Dagger
The Lightning Dagger can only be equipped by Sovereign (Djinn). No other unit can use it. If that unit is not in your inventory yet, the equipment does nothing for you, so unlock the unit first and hold off on grinding until then.

Add to Google Preferences →How to get the Lightning Dagger from the Tier 5 Summer Portal
The Lightning Dagger comes only from the Tier 5 Summer Portal. You reach that tier by buying a starter portal and clearing it upward, one tier at a time. Each tier is tougher than the last, so bring a strong, fully upgraded loadout before you attempt the higher stages.

You will know it worked when the Lightning Dagger appears in your equipment inventory with its randomly assigned Damage and Range values already set.
Lightning Dagger stats and passive effect
Like all unit equipment, the Lightning Dagger has three ability slots. Two are rollable stat slots, and the third is a fixed passive upgrade. The stat values are assigned at random when you obtain the piece.
| Slot | Value range |
|---|---|
| Damage | +1% to +5% |
| Range | +1% to +10% |
| Passive | Upgrades Djinn’s Judgment (fixed) |
Aim for the highest possible rolls on Damage and Range for the strongest result. You can reroll the stats using Equipment Rerolls for a chance at better values. To keep one good stat while rerolling the other, apply an Equipment Lock to freeze the value you want to protect. Both Equipment Locks and Equipment Rerolls are sold for in-game currency by vendors across the game’s modes.

Djinn’s Judgment upgrade
The third slot rewrites Sovereign (Djinn)’s “Djinn’s Judgment” passive with these effects:
- Every 7 seconds, the unit calls down a lightning strike on the strongest enemy within range.
- The strike deals 100% of the unit’s current damage stat.
- The lightning chains between up to five different enemies.
- Each chain deals 25% of the unit’s current damage stat.
- Each chain also applies the Freeze status ailment.
This is a direct upgrade over the base Djinn’s Judgment passive, which makes the Lightning Dagger the go-to equipment for anyone pushing Sovereign (Djinn) as a damage carry.
Because the chain and strike both scale off the unit’s current damage stat, investing in Damage rolls and damage buffs pays off twice, once on the main hit and again on every chained target.
