Anime Expeditions Items and How to Get Them (Roblox)

Where every reroll, lock, crafting, and evolution item comes from, plus how the sprite crafting system works.

Items in Anime Expeditions are the resources that let you evolve units, reroll and lock their stats and traits, level them up, and pay for upgrades across the game’s shops. You earn most of them by playing the different modes and clearing challenges, and you then spend them to push your account further.

Quick answer: Farm Challenge stages (Regular, Daily, Weekly) for the widest spread of items. Stat Reroll, Stat Lock, Equipment Reroll, Equipment Lock, and Trait Crystal all also drop there and can be bought from the Gold Shop, Event Shop, Spirit City, the General shop, and the Wandering Trader.

Reroll, lock, and trait items and where to get them

These are the upgrade items you use to shape a unit after you own it. Rerolls change stat or equipment potential, locks preserve a roll you want to keep, and Trait Crystals reroll a unit’s trait. They share almost the same obtainment routes, so you rarely need to grind a single source.

Trait Crystal has the deepest reward pool of the group. Beyond the shops, it comes from your unit Index, ranked Tournament finishes, and Achievements, so save spare gems and tokens for the units you actually plan to invest in.

Sprites and the Crafting Station

Sprites are colored crafting materials used for evolution and other upgrades. The base drop is the Grey sprite, and you convert Grey sprites into every other color at the Crafting Station. Colored sprites also drop directly from Challenge stages, so you can farm them or craft them depending on what you have.

Sprite (Rainbow)
Sprite (Rainbow)
Challenge stages (Daily, Weekly); craft with 30 Sprite (Grey).

The Rainbow sprite is the top-tier one, described as the sprite of sprites, and it costs 30 Grey sprites to craft. Each standard color costs 5 Grey sprites, so plan your Grey stockpile around whether you want many colored sprites or a single Rainbow.

Cosmic Magic and unit evolution materials

Evolution materials are tied to specific units and their quests. Cosmic Magic is one such material, and you earn it by completing the Elf Mage’s Unit Quest. Because it is quest-locked rather than shop-bought, the only way to secure it is to finish that unit’s quest.

Gold and the fastest ways to farm it

Gold is the general-purpose currency behind upgrades and shop purchases, including the Gold Shop where you can buy reroll and lock items. It flows in from almost every activity, so you will usually accumulate it naturally while chasing other rewards.

Note: The AFK Chamber drops Gold passively, so leaving your session there is a low-effort way to top up while you are away.

How the item system fits together

Items in Anime Expeditions split into a handful of roles. Evolution materials such as Cosmic Magic push a unit to its next form, sprites feed crafting and evolution, reroll and lock items tune stats, traits, and equipment, and currencies like Gold pay for everything through the various shops. Progression items, customization pieces, and unit-specific equipment sit alongside these as separate categories.

The practical takeaway is that Challenge stages, especially the Daily and Weekly rotations, are the single most efficient farm because they feed sprites, rerolls, locks, Trait Crystals, and Gold at once. Layer in the Gold Shop, Event Shop, Spirit City, General, and the Wandering Trader when you have the matching tokens, and reserve quest-locked materials like Cosmic Magic for the specific units that need them.
