Season 30 Marked turned Apex Legends ranked into a much narrower game. Respawn skipped a new Legend entirely and instead reworked Bloodhound, buffed Loba and Rampart, nerfed Valkyrie, Axle, and Seer, and gutted the loot economy by deleting gold attachments, halving MRVNs, and removing the class supply bins. Two weeks into Split 1, the ladder has settled, and a handful of names are doing almost all the work.
Quick answer: Queue Axle, Loba, Seer, or Pathfinder. The Axle/Loba/Seer trio is the most-played Predator composition in Season 30 Split 1 and averages +43.3 RP per match across more than 2,300 tracked games.
Apex Legends Season 30 ranked tier list (August 2026)
Placements weigh three things together — pick rate among Apex Predator players, match win rate, and average RP gained per game — then adjust for the Marked balance changes and the tighter loot pool. The ranking reflects Season 30 Split 1 as of day 15, so it accounts for the ladder reset settling rather than launch-week panic picks.
| Tier | Legends |
|---|---|
| S | Axle, Loba, Seer, Pathfinder |
| A | Mad Maggie, Alter, Sparrow, Gibraltar, Bangalore, Vantage |
| B | Revenant, Fuse, Octane, Wraith, Valkyrie, Conduit, Horizon |
| C | Crypto, Caustic, Wattson, Rampart, Lifeline, Catalyst, Mirage |
| D | Bloodhound, Newcastle, Ash, Ballistic |
Note: C tier is not dead weight this season. Crypto (+47.3 RP per game) and Caustic (+43.2) post the two highest RP averages on the board, but on samples under 300 games and pick rates below 0.5%. They work if you already main them and have a squad that plays around the setup time. They will not carry a solo queue.

Axle sits at 20.8% Predator pick rate over roughly 12,000 tracked appearances, the largest sample of any Legend. Marked cut her slide boost from five seconds to three and made her Ultimate damage her and stun or displace her own teammates, which punishes sloppy engages. Nitro Gate still dictates the pace of a fight, and a 49.1% win rate with +34.2 average RP says the nerfs raised her skill floor without moving her off the throne.

Loba is the biggest mover of the season, jumping to 19.9% pick rate and a 50.9% win rate. Her Black Market went from a convenience to a requirement once gold attachments vanished, purple spawn rates dropped, and MRVNs were cut from 24 to 12. Her bracelet also got faster — equip time down from 0.6 to 0.4 seconds, 15% more range, 30% less travel time — so she can now reposition mid-fight instead of only looting between them.

Seer climbed to 13.3% pick rate and +36.4 RP per game despite eating a trim to his tactical turn slow and having Home Base pushed to a level 3 upgrade. Focus of Attention still interrupts heals and revives at the worst possible moment for the enemy, and Exhibit gives your squad live movement tracking during a push. The counterplay is obvious — good teams sit still and wait it out — so commit while it is running.

Pathfinder inherited Valkyrie’s job. He was untouched in Marked and holds 9.5% pick rate with a 50.7% win rate, purely because someone has to move the squad and Valkyrie can no longer do it as well. His zipline is still the fastest team-wide rotation tool in the game, he can scan Survey Beacons and Ring Consoles like a Recon, and the level 3 Landing Gear perk hands him Horizon’s landing passive on top.

Season 30 balance changes that moved the tier list
Marked launched on August 4, 2026 with no new Legend, so every placement above traces back to a patch note or a loot change. These are the ones that mattered.
| Legend | Change |
|---|---|
| Bloodhound | Full rework. New Ultimate, Allfather’s Cloak, hides everyone inside a dome for 8s with the cloak lingering 12s and granting +20% move speed and threat vision. White Ravens now fly 400m and can be triggered remotely; tactical is a 3s scan followed by four snapshots. |
| Loba | Buffed. Tactical equip 0.6s → 0.4s, +15% range, −30% travel time, Ultimate cooldown 150s → 120s. |
| Rampart | Buffed. Wall health 400/600/800 → 600/700/800, 0.5s faster deploy, Sheila base move speed 70 → 104. |
| Valkyrie | Nerfed. Tactical damage 25 → 15, Ultimate height −15%, through-wall scan 250m → 100m, Supersonic 50% → 40%. |
| Axle | Nerfed. Slide boost 5s → 3s; Ultimate now damages Axle and stuns or displaces allies. |
| Seer | Nerfed. Reduced tactical turn slow; Home Base moved to a level 3 upgrade. |
| Loot economy | Gold attachments replaced by Corrupted Attachments with built-in downsides, MRVNs halved 24 → 12, purple spawn rates cut, Extended Supply Bins and Weapon Supply Bins removed. |
That last row is the sleeper. Removing the class bins deleted the entire reason to run Newcastle or Ballistic, and it is why both sit at the bottom of the board with pick rates around 0.2%.
A-tier Legends worth locking in ranked
Mad Maggie holds 6.6% pick rate as the strongest Assault option, and a season built around cover and positioning plays directly into a kit designed to break both. Her 47.2% win rate is soft compared to the top four, so she rewards squads that actually follow up on the ground she denies rather than solo aggression.
Alter sits at 5.2% and is quietly one of the best answers to the loot crunch. Her passive pulls one non-shield item straight out of a deathbox, which matters far more now that purple gear is scarce, and Void Passage creates flank angles no other Skirmisher can offer.

Sparrow and Gibraltar are the efficiency picks. Sparrow posts a 54.5% win rate and +41.4 RP on nearly 2,000 games, and Gibraltar sits at 52.0% with +40.8 — both well above the S-tier names, just on far smaller samples. Gibraltar’s bubble is worth more than usual now that close-range weapon damage came down across the board.
Bangalore is the weakest of the A group. Smoke plus Rolling Thunder still isolates targets and stops pushes cold, but a 49.1% win rate and the lowest average RP in the tier (+24.9) mean she is riding utility rather than raw strength. Vantage rounds out the tier at 3.0% pick and a 51.5% win rate after Marked fixed her Ultimate failing to stack damage on successive shots.

Legends to avoid in Season 30 ranked
Bloodhound is the season’s clearest disappointment. The rework is genuinely interesting — Allfather’s Cloak breaks on damage, on firing, and on most abilities, so it is a repositioning tool rather than a fight-winner, and only the level 3 upgrade downgrades shooting from breaking the cloak to interrupting it. High elo has not bought it. Bloodhound sits at 0.5% pick rate with a 42.2% win rate, last on the board.
Conduit fell hardest without being touched by a single patch note. She was the default Support before Marked and now sits at 0.5% pick rate, because Loba took that slot outright. Her Radiant Transfer shields and space-denial Ultimate still function, but the squad slot she used to occupy has a better occupant.

Octane keeps a respectable 2.4% pick rate on reputation alone, but a 47.5% win rate is below par for a Legend this popular. Marked slowed the game down, Stim still costs him health, and half a dozen Legends now offer movement without the self-damage. Ash is the floor at 44.9% win rate, and Newcastle and Ballistic both lost the supply bins their class perks were built to open.

Predator trio compositions with the best RP output
Individual placements matter less than what your squad locks together. These are the compositions producing the most RP at Predator level in Split 1, filtered to samples large enough to be meaningful.
| Composition | Avg RP | Games |
|---|---|---|
| Axle, Loba, Sparrow | +56.2 | 391 |
| Loba, Seer, Sparrow | +51.7 | 117 |
| Axle, Loba, Seer | +43.3 | 2,336 |
| Axle, Seer, Sparrow | +42.0 | 134 |
| Alter, Loba, Seer | +40.7 | 387 |
| Alter, Axle, Loba | +38.5 | 465 |
| Axle, Loba, Pathfinder | +29.2 | 1,075 |
Loba appears in all seven. If your squad is only going to agree on one pick, make it hers.
The shape of Season 30 is simple enough to act on. Loot is scarce, fights are slower, and the Legends winning are the ones who solve those two problems — Loba for gear, Pathfinder for rotations, Seer for information, Axle for closing distance. Everything else is a preference pick, and preference picks cost RP when the top four are this far ahead. Expect a midseason patch to poke at Loba’s pick rate; until Respawn confirms one, this is the board.
