Big Walk: How to Reach the Highest Point (Big Climb Trophy)

The chairlift route to the summit and the exact moment the Big Climb achievement registers.

The chairlift route to the summit and the exact moment the Big Climb achievement registers.

The highest point in Big Walk sits at the center of the island, on the mountain framed by the five colored towers. Climbing it by hand is possible but slow and easy to fail. The chairlift near the Green Tower carries you almost all the way there, leaving only a short walk up a narrow path to the summit.

Quick answer: Complete the Green Tower to power the chairlifts, ride the western chairlift from the Green Tower station until you pass directly under the mountain, then follow the path on the left up to the orange triangular structure at the top. Touching that structure unlocks Big Climb.

What you need before the climb

Two things must be in place before the route works. The map makes the summit easy to spot, and the chairlift gives you the practical way up.

RequirementHow you get itWhy it matters
Island mapComplete the Red TowerAdds the triangular marker for the highest point between the towers
Working chairliftComplete the Green TowerPowers the lifts so you can ride toward the mountain instead of climbing on foot

Without the Green Tower done, the chairs will not move and you have no easy approach. The map is not strictly required, but the marker between the five towers makes it far simpler to judge where to get off.

Riding the chairlift to the mountain

Head to the chairlift station beside the Green Tower. If the chairs are still stationary, you have not finished the Green Tower yet, so complete it first to switch the lifts on.

Before boarding, check the direction. You want the chairlift that travels right, toward the west, since that line runs straight at the central mountain.
Stay on the western chairlift and keep riding. Do not get off early. Watch your map and wait until the chair passes the small section directly beneath the mountain where the highest point marker sits.
Get off in that spot under the mountain and continue on foot from there.

Climbing the mountain path to the summit

After leaving the chairlift, look for the small path on the left and follow it upward. The route is narrow with steep drops, so move slowly. One wrong step can drop you back down and force the whole climb again.
Stay on the path until you reach the small overlook near the top. You will know you are there when you see a radio station and an orange flare box. This is a safe place to stop and line up the final stretch.

From the overlook, follow the path toward the orange triangular structure at the very top. Keep away from the edges and take the final climb carefully.

How Big Climb unlocks

There is no puzzle or item to collect at the summit. Reaching the orange triangular structure at the highest point is the whole trigger. The Big Climb trophy pops the moment you arrive there.

If the achievement does not appear, the reason is almost always position. Simply riding the chairlift or standing at the overlook does not count. You have to leave the chair and physically reach the orange structure at the top for the game to register it.

Reaching the orange triangular structure at the summitUnlocks Big Climb immediately

Once you touch the structure at the top, the highest point is done. The chairlift handles the distance, and the summit itself is only about steady footing on the last narrow stretch, so the trophy is one of the quicker ones to add once the Green Tower is complete.
