Upper Skylands hides one of the more hands-on Island Secrets in Sea 1. Instead of killing a set number of enemies, you accept a quest called “The old temple” from Sky Quest Giver 2, break into a sealed room stuffed with gold, and line up four orb pedestals until the light beams connect. Finish it, and you walk out with Intel to hand back for a reward.
Quick answer: Take “The old temple” from Sky Quest Giver 2, smash the breakable stone wall at the temple entrance, rotate all four orb pedestals inside until the beams link in sequence, escape when the game tells you to run, then return and pick “Hand over the Intel.”
What you need before starting the old temple secret
You need access to the Upper Skylands, which sits above the regular Skylands in the First Sea. Reach the Upper Skylands Entrance by air jumping from the tallest tree in the Skylands, or fly up with a fruit such as Light or teleport with Portal. Inside that worn-down temple is a pit of clouds. Break the cloud with a Destructible Physics attack, or drop through the small hole in the corner marked with an arrow sign.
From there, cross the first sub-island and follow the giant tree root to the second sub-island. That larger area is where Sky Quest Giver 2 stands, and it is also where the temple with the Instinct Teacher sits at the back.
The single most important requirement is a move that can break objects. The temple walls only give way to attacks with Destructible Physics, though Flash Step also gets you through them. Without one of those, the puzzle room stays sealed.

How to confirm the secret actually completed
There are two clear checkpoints. The first is the on-screen notification about taking the Intel, which only appears after every orb is aligned. The second is the dialogue option “Hand over the Intel” showing up when you talk to Sky Quest Giver 2. If that option is missing, the puzzle did not register and you need to go back and finish the alignment.
The most common reason players stall is the entrance. If the wall will not break, you are using a move without Destructible Physics. Swap to an attack that destroys terrain, or use Flash Step to phase through the wall section.
Why this Island Secret is worth doing
Update 30 reworked all 16 islands of Sea 1 and added 40 Island Secrets between them, covering hidden fights, puzzles, and quests like this one. Every secret you finish awards one star. Collect all 40 and the Teleporter in Middletown unlocks.
The bigger payoff is the cap. Level and stat caps sit at 2800, and clearing every Island Secret in Sea 1 raises both to 3000. Individual secrets also pay out EXP, Money, Gems, and Stat Points, so the orb puzzle contributes on both fronts.
Note: The Skylands group holds its own separate set of three secrets, including an Angel Knight quest, and the temple on the second sub-island has breakable side walls leading to a room with eight chests. Those are worth grabbing while you are already up there in Blox Fruits, but they do not count toward this quest.
If you are running this on a busy server, a private server keeps other players from interrupting the run back to the quest giver, which is the only stretch where a fight can cost you time. Otherwise, the whole secret takes a couple of minutes once you know which wall to break.
