Version 7.1 brings a new 4-star bow aimed squarely at Stellar support play, and for anyone slotting Faruzan next to Vesna the question is simple: is it worth swapping off the Battle Pass bow you already own? The two weapons look interchangeable on the character screen, and that is not an illusion — the entire difference lives in the passive.
Quick answer: Both bows are statistically identical at level 90. Breezeborne Refrain R5 adds 40% Energy Recharge plus a party-wide Stellar Glimmer buff, while Jade Vista R5 buffs only Faruzan herself.
Breezeborne Refrain and Jade Vista share the same stat line
Both are 4-star bows with a CRIT Rate secondary stat, and their scaling is the same at every ascension step. At level 1 each sits at 42 base ATK and 6.0% CRIT Rate; at level 90 each lands on 510 base ATK and 27.6% CRIT Rate. Nothing in the raw numbers separates them.

Breezeborne Refrain R5: 40% Energy Recharge and a 48% Stellar Glimmer buff
The passive is called Viper’s Ballad, and it runs on a stack cycle rather than a flat bonus. Here is exactly how it behaves at Refinement Rank 5:
- Energy Recharge is increased by 40% at all times.
- An Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hit on an opponent awards one stack of “Hymn of the Pure”; this can occur every 0.03s until 3 stacks are reached.
- At 3 stacks, all stacks clear and the holder gains “Thus Lied the Viper.”
- That grants nearby party members a 48% Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG boost for 12 seconds.
- No new stacks can be gained during those 12 seconds, and the whole chain works while the holder is off-field.
At R1 those numbers start much lower, at 20% Energy Recharge and a 24% Stellar Glimmer boost, so refinement matters a lot here. The off-field clause is the important part for Faruzan, since she spends almost all of her time outside the active slot — her skill and burst hits alone keep the cycle running.
The party buff is written specifically for Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG. Vesna’s own output is Stellar-Swirl damage, which is a separate reaction, so this is not a blanket team-wide damage bonus.
Jade Vista R5 on Faruzan: 128 Elemental Mastery and 48% ATK
Jade Vista’s passive, A Candle Woven From the Night, bases its bonuses on the elemental makeup of your party. At R5, each other party member with the same element as the holder provides 128 Elemental Mastery, while each member with a different element grants 24% ATK. You can gain 3 stacks altogether, and the Elemental Mastery bonuses take effect before the ATK bonuses.
In the Vesna lineup this resolves cleanly, because a four-person party gives Faruzan exactly three other members and therefore all three stacks.

Every point of that is personal. None of it reaches Vesna, Odette, or Vodyanitsa, and Jade Vista provides no Energy Recharge at all, so Faruzan’s burst uptime has to come entirely from her artifacts.

The reference team here is Vesna on-field with Faruzan, Vodyanitsa, and Odette behind her. Faruzan runs C6 with a 4-piece Viridescent Venerer set, Vesna pairs Beyond the Chrysalis or New Bough R5 with 4-piece Scarlet Proof, Vodyanitsa holds Hymn of the Maelstrom on 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith, and Odette carries Whitelake Frostfeather with 4-piece Heart of the Furnace.
Faruzan’s role in that party is support. She supplies a second Anemo aura for more swirls, enables Viridescent Venerer, provides an additive damage buff, and shreds enemy Anemo RES — none of which scales with her own Elemental Mastery or ATK. That is the core argument against Jade Vista here: its buff sits on a character who is not the one converting stats into damage.
Breezeborne Refrain pushes in the opposite direction. The 40% Energy Recharge makes her burst rotation far easier to sustain, which is what a support actually needs, and the 48% Stellar Glimmer boost is handed to the whole party. Whether that second half pays off depends on how much Stellar Glimmer reaction damage your team produces — Odette with Whitelake Frostfeather is the obvious beneficiary, since that weapon also keys off Stellar Glimmer reactions.
The same lineup holds up in Spiral Abyss Floor 12, clearing chambers against the Immortal Construct, the Battle-Hardened Chimeric Burrowbeast, and the Battle-Hardened Domovoy Sculptor, so neither bow is a requirement for the team to function. The swap is a tuning decision, not a gate.
Elegy for the End as the third option
Elegy for the End at R1 is the other bow commonly tested in this slot, and it belongs in the conversation for the same reason Breezeborne Refrain does: it is a support weapon that gives something to the rest of the party rather than to Faruzan alone. Breezeborne Refrain is rated up on the Version 7.1 Phase 1 weapon banner alongside the 5-star Beyond the Chrysalis and Hymn of the Maelstrom. It is Event Wish exclusive, so there is no alternative route to it — and reaching R5 means pulling five copies off that banner. Jade Vista is Battle Pass only and requires purchasing the Gnostic Hymn.
Ascension costs differ too. Both need 150,000 Mora to reach level 90, but Breezeborne Refrain consumes the Chimeric Core line, Accreted materials, and the Frost Emperor weapon ascension set, while Jade Vista uses the older Aerosiderite line, Insignias, and Bone Shards.
The Energy Recharge on Breezeborne Refrain lowers Faruzan’s artifact requirements considerably, which frees up substats for CRIT — that alone is often worth more than the headline reaction buff.

If you are not pulling, Jade Vista remains perfectly serviceable — the stat line is identical, and Faruzan’s support value comes from her kit rather than her bow.
