Coins and team rating are the two numbers that decide how far you get in Build A Soccer Squad. Everything you do in the lobby feeds one or both of them, so the fastest progress comes from farming coins efficiently and spending them on players who raise your overall rating. Here is how each system works and how to use it without wasting time.
Quick answer: Build high-rated squads to earn more coins per attempt, run the two-hour quest loop for passive rewards, and lift your team rating by matching players’ clubs, leagues, and nations for green chemistry links.

Fastest ways to farm coins
The most direct method is to build as many squads as you can, as fast as you can. Your coin payout scales with your overall team rating, so it pays to slow down slightly and pick the stronger players instead of blindly clicking. A few extra seconds per pick raise your rating and your reward.
On top of that, in-game quests and Cup Mode both add coins. Quests are the best hands-off option, while cups only become worthwhile once your squad is strong enough to win multiple rounds.
| Method | How it pays |
|---|---|
| Building squads | Higher team rating equals more coins per squad; choose better players over pure speed. |
| Quests | Passive rewards over a two-hour window, plus Rerolls and Refreshes. |
| Cup Mode | Coins scale with how deep you go; only reliable with a strong squad. |

Add to Google Preferences →AFK quest farming on a two-hour loop
Quests complete on their own while you stay in the game, which makes them the best AFK earner. A full cycle runs up to two hours and pays out roughly 83k in total, along with Rerolls and Refreshes. Because quest progress resets the moment you leave, you can repeat the same loop indefinitely.
Note: Entering Cup Mode moves you to a different server, which cancels your quest progress even though you are still technically playing. Finish or pause your quest farming before you queue for a cup.

Cup Mode requirements and when it is worth it
Cup Mode sits on the right side of the screen and pits your team against other players in 3D simulated matches. Entry requires an overall rating of 93, and every cup begins at the round of 32. Winning each match advances you a round until the final.
The catch is that rewards for the early rounds are small, and you have to watch each match play out. A 93- or 94-rated team usually gets knocked out quickly, so the time spent rarely pays off. Cup farming only becomes efficient once you reach the deeper rounds, where the payouts climb sharply. Wait until you have at least a 100-rated team before treating cups as a coin source.
How team rating and chemistry work
Your team rating is the average of every player’s individual rating. That is the obvious lever. The less obvious one is chemistry, which can lift your overall rating high enough that a lineup of slightly weaker but well-linked players beats a lineup of stronger players with no connections. The best squads maximize both.
Chemistry shows up as colored lines between player icons. Green is the strongest link and grey is the weakest. Links form when players share elements such as nation, club, league, or country. For example, two Liverpool players like Alisson and Van Dijk connect with a green line because they share a club. Keep this in mind every time you spend a Reroll or Refresh in the squad builder.
| Chemistry link | Strength |
|---|---|
| Green | Best link between two players. |
| Grey | Weakest link, little or no shared elements. |

How to get the highest-rated players
Top-tier players almost never drop from normal Rerolls. There is a tiny chance, but three reliable routes exist instead.
| Source | How it works |
|---|---|
| Coin Shop | Buy strong players directly from the shop on the left side of the lobby. |
| Team captains | Collect every player from a nation’s generation to unlock that team’s captain card. Track progress in the Rewards tab on the right. |
| Cup Players | Win 5 cups to claim a random 105-rated player from the golden portal left of the leaderboard podium. You can obtain a maximum of seven this way. |
Because cup wins cap out at seven 105-rated players, a perfect 105 team rating is not reachable through cups alone. To close the gap, you will need to buy elite players from the shop, unlock captains, or let chemistry carry the rest of the lineup.
Free Rerolls and Refreshes from codes
Codes hand you extra Rerolls and Refreshes to fund your squad building without spending coins. Redeem LIMITBREAKER for 25 Rerolls and 25 Refreshes, and DOUBLE for 20 of each. Enter them in the game’s code menu inside the Build A Soccer Squad experience, and spend the rewards on packs where the odds or shop line-up actually look worth it rather than dumping them all at once.
Put together, the routine that moves you forward fastest is simple. Build stronger squads for bigger coin payouts, keep a two-hour quest loop running whenever you step away, and pour your coins and Rerolls into chemistry-linked players and captain unlocks until your rating clears 100. Only then is Cup Mode a genuine coin engine and a path to those 105-rated cards.
