Clean All the Leaves: How to Find the Red Button to Open the Garage

The garage switch sits on a shed counter across the yard, not on the door itself.

The garage switch sits on a shed counter across the yard, not on the door itself.

The locked garage in Clean All the Leaves shows a “Find the button to open it!” prompt on its door, but the switch that opens it is not on the door at all. It sits inside the open wooden shed across the yard, and pressing it once clears the “Open the garage” objective for good.

Quick answer: Turn away from the locked garage, walk into the open shed directly across from it, and press the large red button on the wooden counter. The garage door opens right after the “You completed a quest!” message appears.

Where the garage red button is located

The red button is on the counter inside the open shed that faces the locked garage. It is not mounted on the garage door, and it is not attached to any fence that still shows a cleanup requirement. Players often circle the garage looking for a panel that was never there.

Inside the shed, the button sits next to the “Upgrade Bag” display on the same counter. It is a single large red circular switch, so it is easy to spot once you step through the open doorway.

How to open the garage

Stand in front of the closed garage door and turn around to face the open wooden shed directly across the yard. Walk over to it.
Step inside the shed and go up to the counter. Press the large red button sitting on top of it. This is a one-time interaction, not a pickup, so you do not need to collect any leaves first.
Walk back to the garage. The door is now fully open, and you can head straight inside to begin clearing the leaves.

How to confirm the garage is open

The moment you press the button, a “You completed a quest!” popup fires and the door swings fully open. The “Open the garage” objective clears itself the instant the door opens, with nothing else to do at that step.

The quest log then updates to “Complete the Garage (0/1),” which points you toward the next task. Walk inside and collect all the yellow leaves in the garage to clear that wave.

If the door stays shut, wait a moment for the quest-complete notice to register after a single press. Return to the garage, and if nothing registered, rejoin a fresh server and press the button once more.

Garage vs. fenced-off routes

Once inside, it is tempting to treat every blocked path the same way, but they are not all button puzzles. The garage is the only one that opens from a switch. Other barriers work on progress instead.

BarrierHow it opens
Locked garage doorPress the red button on the shed counter across from it.
Wooden fence gateShows “Complete more zones first!” and stays sealed until you clear more of the yard.
Doors with “Unlock $1.00” promptsGated behind cleaning progress, not a hidden button.

So if a route will not open no matter where you look, it is locked behind progress rather than a switch. Pressing the garage button clears only the garage quest and will not remove those other boundaries.
