Elden Ring: Where to Find All Three Torrent Armor Sets

Torrent, your spectral steed, can now wear armor. A recent content drop adds three separate cosmetic sets you can collect and swap freely, each tied to a specific spot in the Lands Between. None of them change how Torrent plays. They only alter his appearance.

Quick answer: Grab the Tree Sentinel set from a chest beside Godrick’s throne, the Funeral Night set from a greatsword graveyard north of Leyndell, and the Carian Silver set from a chest behind a stack of books at Ranni’s Rise. Then sit at any Site of Grace and pick “Change Spectral Steed Appearance.”

Torrent armor locations and requirements

Each set sits in a different region and gates behind a different bit of progress. Here is the short version before the walkthroughs below.

Tree Sentinel set at Godrick’s throne

The first set unlocks once you have beaten Godrick the Grafted, one of the earliest major bosses. If your save already has him defeated, you can collect this armor immediately. There are no extra quests involved beyond having Torrent and clearing Godrick.

Fast travel to the Godrick the Grafted Site of Grace. This drops you right at the fight arena inside Stormveil Castle.

Head up the stairs toward the room that holds his throne. At the throne, turn right to enter the side chamber.

Open the chest now sitting in that chamber to receive the Tree Sentinel armor for Torrent.

Funeral Night set north of Leyndell

This set sits to the north in Leyndell. Newer players will need to reach the capital region first, which means securing both halves of the Dectus Medallion for the Grand Lift of Dectus (or taking the alternate route up).

Travel to the Outer Wall Battleground Site of Grace and look for the cliff with a large stone staircase running up its side.

Summon Torrent and ride up the staircase until you reach an area filled with massive stone tablets jutting from the ground.

At the tablets, turn right and find the burial site along the cliff, marked by a cluster of large greatswords stuck in the ground.

To the left of that greatsword graveyard, look for a long sword with a glowing item marker in front of it. Interact with the marker to claim the Funeral Night armor.

Carian Silver set at Ranni’s Rise

The final set waits to the west at Ranni’s Rise in Liurnia. To reach it, push through Caria Manor and defeat Royal Knight Loretta. Beating her drops the barrier blocking the path to Ranni’s Rise and the surrounding mage towers.

Clear Caria Manor and defeat Royal Knight Loretta to open the way through.

Arrive at Ranni’s Rise and climb her tower until you reach the Ranni’s Rise Site of Grace.

Look for a stack of books concealing a chest behind it. Open the chest to unlock the Carian Silver armor for Torrent.

How to equip Torrent’s armor

Once you have at least one set, changing Torrent’s look takes a few seconds at any Site of Grace.

Rest at any Site of Grace in the game.

Scroll down the menu options on the left and select “Change Spectral Steed Appearance.”

Pick any set you have collected. Torrent’s appearance updates right away, confirming the change worked.

Note: These sets are purely cosmetic. Equipping one has no effect on Torrent’s health, speed, or performance, so there is no gameplay advantage to picking one over another.
