Enshrouded 1.0: How to Get Corrosive Blood and Shroud Particles

Both materials drop from the armed Fell soldiers inside the Shroud, with corpses holding extra Corrosive Blood.

Both materials drop from the armed Fell soldiers inside the Shroud, with corpses holding extra Corrosive Blood.

In Enshrouded, Corrosive Blood and Shroud Particles are level 18 Uncommon materials obtained the same way. Both are dropped by Fell—armed undead who patrol the Shroud. Neither has a crafting recipe, so collecting them means venturing into the Shroud to battle.

Which Fell drop which material

Fell variants determine which material you get: Corrosive Blood comes from archers and scouts; sword, shield, and lance users yield Shroud Particles. Spore-headed Fell provide the highest Particle haul per kill.

Fell typeDropsAmount
Fell Scout, Fell Sentinel, Fell MarksmanCorrosive Blood1 per kill
Fell Squire, Fell Defender, Fell LancerShroud Particles1 per kill
Fell Sporehead, Fell SporeseekerShroud Particles2 per kill

Armored, tougher Fell troops may carry 2 or 3 Corrosive Blood, rather than just 1. After defeating one, check the screen’s left side for the pickup label “Shroud Particles” to verify what you got.

Both materials are level 18 Uncommon items, so you can start searching in the Nomad Highlands. Fell Sporeheads are most common in the Kindlewastes, then the Albaneve Summits, the Veilwater Basin and Cinder’s Cradle.

Search Fell corpses for extra Corrosive Blood

Look for remains piles marked with a “Search” prompt; roughly half contain 2 Corrosive Blood.

The Nomad Highlands has the largest number of these remains; next come Revelwood, Springlands, and Kindlewastes. A small number are also found in Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin.

How to farm both materials

Choose a Shroud zone where Fell soldiers are present, and equip a weapon suited to crowd control. Fighting inside the Shroud continuously consumes the timer.
Engage all Fell soldiers you encounter. Archers and scouts drop Corrosive Blood; sword-, shield-, and lance-wielding soldiers yield Shroud Particles, while each spore-headed Fell awards 2 Particles.

Search any Fell corpse you pass for extra Corrosive Blood. Look for the piles of remains with the “Search” prompt.
Get out of the Shroud while time remains, or make contact with a Shroud time capsule (hourglass) to add more time.

Several armor recipes call for Corrosive Blood: the Blacksmith uses 3 for Mercenary Gloves and 2 apiece for Guardian Boots and Blackguard Boots; the Alchemist needs 4 each for Magician Chest and Omen Chest; the Hunter uses 4 apiece for Hunter Vest, Plaguebringer Chest, and Fowler Gloves.

At the Coloring Station, the Madly Maroon dye takes 1 Corrosive Blood and the Harvest Festival dye takes 2.
