Linen is a cloth material made by spinning Flax, and it feeds into dozens of recipes across your base. Its item text reads, “The natural fiber won from the processing of Flax. The first step of cloth creation.” You produce it at one of three spinning stations, each tied to the Hunter.
Quick answer: Collect Flax (the blue-flowered plant in the Revelwood), then spin it into Linen at a Hand Spindle, Spinning Wheel, or Spinning Machine.

All three stations are crafted at the Hunter. They differ in conversion rate, so the Spinning Machine produces the most Linen per batch of Flax.
| Station | Conversion | Crafting cost |
|---|---|---|
| Hand Spindle | 2 Flax = 1 Linen | 3 Fossilized Bone, 4 Wood Planks |
| Spinning Wheel | 1 Flax = 1 Linen | 2 Wood Logs, 2 Wood Planks, 3 Fossilized Bone, 2 Bronze Bars, 5 Nails |
| Spinning Machine | 10 Flax = 15 Linen | 3 Conifer Logs, 5 Metal Scraps, 1 Linen, 1 Spinning Wheel |
The first Hand Spindle comes from the quest reward, not the crafting menu.
