Magma Gel is a Common crafting material gathered in Cinder’s Cradle, the volcanic region of Enshrouded. It feeds a long list of high-level recipes, from Eternal spells and arrows to armor sets and building blocks, so you will want a steady supply once you reach the late game.

Quick answer: Travel to Cinder’s Cradle, find a glowing plant growing out of the lava, cut it down with an axe, then use the Collect nearby loot prompt to pick up the Magma Gel it leaves.

Where Magma Gel comes from

Magma Gel comes from the glowing plants that grow out of the lava in Cinder’s Cradle. Cut a plant with an axe, then collect the Magma Gel it leaves. The game describes it this way: “A thick gel that sets harder than it looks. Can be applied as a protective coating over most surfaces. Notably, it also generates heat from within.”

Magma Gel is a Common material and stacks to 250.

How to harvest Magma Gel

Head to Cinder’s Cradle. Check the interactive map for Magma Gel plants, then plot a route that reaches several in one outing.
Look for a bright, molten-looking plant emerging from the lava.
Equip an axe, then use the Cut tree action on the plant. Magma Gel drops when the plant breaks.
