Enshrouded 1.0: How to Get the Cooking Station and Kitchen

Finish the Farmer's quest for a Kettle in Pikemead's Reach, then craft both stations at your base.

Finish the Farmer’s quest for a Kettle in Pikemead’s Reach, then craft both stations at your base.

Both cooking stations in Enshrouded 1.0 come from a single quest the Farmer gives you, “Cooking Equipment For The Farmer”. The chain sends you to retrieve a Kettle, which turns into the Cooking Station, and then unlocks the Kitchen once you gather a second set of materials.

Quick answer: Take the Farmer’s “Cooking Equipment For The Farmer” quest, raise the Flame to Shroud Passage Level 3, grab the Kettle from the Flame Sanctum in Pikemead’s Reach, then craft the Cooking Station and Kitchen at the Farmer.

What you need before you start

Once you rescue the Farmer, she asks for her first piece of cooking equipment. Her own words set up the trip:

“The Farmer wants a Kettle as her first cooking equipment. She suggests looking for her friend, a man named Raúl, in Pikemead’s Reach to get her Kettle back. To reach Pikemead’s Reach, Shroud Passage Level 3 is required. Increase the Passage Level by strengthening the Flame.”

Get the Kettle in Pikemead’s Reach

Travel to Pikemead’s Reach in the Revelwood once the Passage Level allows it. The quest describes the state of the place as you arrive: “Pikemead’s Reach has been ravaged. The Farmer’s friend Raúl must be hiding in a safe place amidst the peril. Perhaps the Kettle can still be found somewhere.”
Make your way to the Flame Sanctum inside Pikemead’s Reach.
Reach the Flame Sanctum’s waypoint. The Kettle is handed to you there as a quest reward. The Kettle’s item text reads: “A metal Kettle which can be suspended over a Cooking Station.”

Craft the Cooking Station at the Farmer

Return to the Farmer with the Kettle. The quest explains what the item becomes: “A Kettle was uncovered, laying among remains in a Flame Sanctum. An etching at the bottom reads “Keep safe, Raúl! — Emily Fray”. The Kettle must be used to craft a Cooking Station. This will enable more cooking recipes.”

Choose a sheltered location by the Farmer to build the station. The Cooking Station takes 4 Flintstone, 1 Kettle, 10 Revelwood Stone and 2 Metal Scraps. Once crafted, place it at your base. Its item text reads: “A basic setup for preparing meals.”

Craft the Kitchen to finish the quest

The quest spells out why you still need the Kitchen: “The cooking station was just the first piece of equipment the farmer requested. It’s perfect for simple tasks like grilling or preparing single ingredients. But to truly unlock her full culinary potential, you’ll need to craft her a kitchen. There, she’ll be able to cook any dish you desire. Craft and place a kitchen to complete the quest.”

At the Farmer, make the Kitchen in a sheltered location. The Kitchen takes 2 Copper Bars, 10 Wood Logs and 2 Metal Scraps. Place the finished Kitchen to complete “Cooking Equipment For The Farmer”. Its item text reads: “With the farmer’s guidance, you can prepare refined meals at this kitchen station.”
