Corrupted Boar Tusk is a Shroud material that comes off the Fell Boars roaming inside the fog. These are the corrupted boars that glow with blue Shroud light, and they are concentrated in the Shroud of the Revelwood, with a smaller number in the Shroud of the Blackmire. In the game, the item reads as “A jagged tusk that’s been tainted by the Shroud. Pulsing with faint traces of toxic energy.”

Quick answer: Kill Fell Boars inside the Shroud. Each one drops 2 Corrupted Boar Tusks, so eight kills cover the 15 the Flame Altar upgrade needs.

Glide down into the Shroud from the spire. The moment you enter the fog, the Shroud timer starts counting down, so track how long you can stay.
Scan the fog for Fell Boars marked by a blue Shroud glow. Move close and kill one.

Once the boar is dead, collect its loot; the display lists Corrupted Boar Tusk, with two awarded per kill.

What Corrupted Boar Tusk is used for

The tusk feeds into 15 recipes in total. The biggest single demand comes from the Flame Altar jump from level 3 to level 4, which calls for 15 Corrupted Boar Tusk alongside several other materials.

Beyond the altar, the tusk is used by the Alchemist for spells. Ice Bolt II needs 2 Glow Dust and 3 Corrupted Boar Tusk, and Eternal Fireball II needs 25 Charcoal, 3 Gold Bars, 10 Green Vitriol Dust and 15 Corrupted Boar Tusk.

Several trousers also call for 2 tusks each:

  • Healer Pants and Mage Trousers (Alchemist)
  • Ranger Trousers and Cutthroat Trousers (Hunter)
  • Tank Trousers (Blacksmith)
