The Shroud Survival Flask gives you extra time inside the Shroud before the timer forces you out. You make it at the Alchemist once you have the right unlock item, and there is a stronger version that buys you even longer. Here is what each one costs and how to unlock the recipe.

Quick answer: Craft the Shroud Survival Flask at the Alchemist from 1 Fresh Shroud Spore, 20 Active Mycelium, and 1 Wood Acid. The recipe appears once you have picked up Wood Acid. Each craft makes 1 flask.

What the Shroud Survival Flask does

You drink the flask before you step into the Shroud, and it adds time to the countdown that pushes you back out. The standard flask reads: “Contains cleansed Shroud Liquid, enhancing the resistance of the user. Must be taken before entering the Shroud. Extends the Time in the Shroud by 2 minutes. This effect will last for 45 minutes.”

The Greater Shroud Survival Flask works the same way but gives more time. Its text reads: “Contains cleansed Shroud Liquid, enhancing the resistance of the user. Must be taken before entering the Shroud. Extends the Time in the Shroud by 4 minutes. This effect will last for 45 minutes.”

How to make the Shroud Survival Flask

Rescue the Alchemist and bring him back to your base so you can use his crafting options.
Pick up Wood Acid, which you make in the Charcoal Kiln. Once it is in your hands, the flask is added to the Alchemist’s recipes.
Collect 1 Fresh Shroud Spore and 20 Active Mycelium. At night, Fresh Shroud Spores hover over the Shroud alongside packs of Fell enemies. The Springlands is the first place they appear. Their text reads: “Fresh Shroud spores, used to craft medicines that can cure the Shroud curse. They first appear in the Springlands at night, among groups of Fell enemies above the Shroud.”
Use the recipe with the Alchemist to make a Shroud Survival Flask. The craft yields 1 flask.

Drink it before you enter the Shroud so the extra time is active when you need it.

How to make the Greater Shroud Survival Flask

The stronger flask is also crafted at the Alchemist, but it needs the Alchemy Station placed near him and a different unlock item. The recipe appears once you have picked up Alchemical Base.

Place the Alchemy Station near the Alchemist so the Greater recipe can be crafted.
Pick up Alchemical Base. Having it adds the Greater Shroud Survival Flask to the Alchemist’s recipes.
Gather 1 Alchemical Base, 15 Mint Mushroom Meat, and 1 Critter Glands.
Use the Alchemist to make a Greater Shroud Survival Flask. You receive 1 flask from each craft.
