Fired Bricks are a baked crafting material in Enshrouded 1.0, described in-game as “Shiny red bricks that are crafted by hardening Lump of Clay under a heat even a Flameborn has issues with.” You make them in the Kiln, and you will need a lot of them before you can build the mid-game crafting stations that depend on them.

Quick answer: Fire each brick in the Kiln from 1 Lump of Clay and 1 log. Wood Logs, Hardwood, Palm Wood Logs, Conifer Logs, Bamboo Logs, or Tropical Wood all count as the log.

What you need before firing bricks

Gather both materials first.

  • Chop trees to get logs. Any of these work: Wood Logs, Hardwood, Palm Wood Logs, Conifer Logs, Bamboo Logs and Tropical Wood.
  • Search Revelwood rock faces for orange-brown clay clumps, then mine them to get Lump of Clay.

Use a pickaxe on the clay; Lump of Clay appears in your pickup list.

Craft the Kiln at the Carpenter

The Kiln is crafted at the Carpenter. Its recipe calls for 50 Revelwood Stone, 10 Lump of Clay, 10 Metal Scraps, and 2 Twigs. If you are short on the last ingredient, Twigs are easy to gather near your first Flame Altar. Once built, place the Kiln.

Fire the bricks in the Kiln

Open the placed Kiln and select Fired Bricks from its recipe list.

Load the Kiln with Lump of Clay and logs, then set how many bricks to queue. Each brick consumes 1 Lump of Clay and 1 log.
Let the queue finish, then collect the Fired Bricks from the Kiln.

Tip: The Smelter alone needs 50 Fired Bricks, so queue them in bulk.
