The Skycrest update turned Fisch into a vertical game. A floating island now sits above the map, and almost everything on it is gated behind Idol Favor, a progression track tied to seven stone-carved Ancient Idols. The first trial is the entry point to that whole system, and it is far simpler than the temple puzzles players are used to from Atlantis.
Quick answer: Fly to Skycrest, find the large penguin-like statue and the NPC standing beside it, then remain next to the statue for 60 seconds. The trial completes on its own when the timer runs out, and you can keep fishing the entire time.
What you need before the first Ancient Idol trial
There is no gear check on this one. You do not need a specific rod, bait, weather state, or a minimum Idol Favor level, and no item has to be turned in. The only real requirement is being able to reach Skycrest itself, which means loading into Fisch on Roblox and getting up to the floating island.
Redeem the launch code SkycrestIsInTheSky before you head up. It was added alongside the update, so treat it as time-limited rather than permanent.

Skycrest is large enough that wandering on foot wastes time. Glide across the island rather than walking, and look for an open shrine area built around a tall carved statue with a rounded, penguin-like shape. An NPC stands beside it, which is the clearest visual confirmation you are at the right idol and not just passing another piece of scenery.

How to complete the 60-second trial

Note: there is no hidden puzzle, no code to enter, and no fish to place on a pedestal. Waiting is the intended solution for this first trial, not a workaround.
How to confirm the trial registered
Two things tell you it worked. The trial timer finishes and clears, and you get an Idol Favor payout on screen — these land as green notifications such as +8 Idol Favor for small gains and much larger amounts, like +170 Idol Favor, for trial completions. Your Idol Level, shown on the tracker, ticks up once you cross the next threshold.

If the minute passes and nothing happens, the usual cause is distance. Move closer to the statue and start the wait again rather than assuming the trial is bugged.
What the Ancient Idol trials unlock
Seven Ancient Idols sit across Skycrest — Hayate, Ebisu, Fudo, Nagomi, Goriki, Shunsoku, and Amanojaku. Clearing an idol’s trials awards that idol’s dedicated Charm, and Charms grow stronger as you catch fish on the island. The harder trials are weather-gated, and the two toughest sit behind the Tropical Squall and Raging Squall events.
| System | What it does |
|---|---|
| Idol Favor | Skycrest’s own level track; gates companions, Sky Crystal placement, and harder content |
| Charms | Scale Luck, Control, Resilience, Max Weight, Lure Speed, and Progress Speed |
| Crest Amulet | Holds up to nine Charms at once, with slots opening as Idol Favor rises |
| Titanic Charm | Reward for the extreme trial tied to the Tropical Squall |
| Flash Charm | Reward for the extreme trial tied to the Raging Squall |
Because so much of Skycrest scales off Idol Favor — including taming the Idol Taiga companion and safely placing the Keeper of the Sky’s Sky Crystals — clearing the easy trials early is worth more than it looks. Master Hiroto’s timed angler challenges also scale to your Favor level, so a higher level turns into bigger Favor payouts later.
One last practical point: server-wide events keep firing while you stand at the shrine, and announcements for things like a Flower Guardian in the Living Garden will scroll past mid-trial. Ignore them until the 60 seconds are done, since abandoning the statue to chase a spawn is the fastest way to restart a trial you had almost finished.

With the first idol cleared, the rest of Skycrest opens up quickly. Bank a few Charm levels by fishing the island, then work toward the squall-locked trials once your Crest Amulet has the slots to hold what they give you.
