FischFright 3 adds four relics to Fisch: Doomed, Vile, Grim, and Eldritch. The event arrived with Version 2.06.0 on October 17th, 2026, at 16:00 UTC, and no end date has been announced. All four relics live on Caustic Hallow, the event’s Halloween island. You can fish for each one, pull it from trick-or-treating, earn it from quests or Frankenstein’s cemetery rituals, or buy it with Treats. Relics count as fish, so you need all four to fill the FischFright 3 Bestiary. They also enchant your rod with a mutation chance and a passive effect.
Quick answer: The Dutchman Merchant on the Flying Dutchman sells Doomed, Vile, and Grim for 2,500 Treats each and Eldritch for 7,500. Every other route, including fishing, trick-or-treating, and rituals, depends on a random roll.
FischFright 3 relic prices and sources
Every relic can be caught with a rod and can drop from trick-or-treating. The remaining routes differ by relic, and Eldritch takes the most work through each of them.
| Relic | Dutchman Merchant | Ritual | Frightful Pool |
|---|---|---|---|
| Doomed Relic | 2,500 Treats | Scary Relic or Eldritch (random) | Doomed, Eldritch |
| Vile Relic | 2,500 Treats | Scary Relic or Eldritch (random) | Vile |
| Grim Relic | 2,500 Treats | Scary Relic or Eldritch (random) | Grim |
| Eldritch Relic | 7,500 Treats | Eldritch (guaranteed) | Eldritch |
The full set costs 15,000 Treats from the merchant. All four relics are Limited catches, and the Luck stat does not change their catch chance. A Luck-heavy rod gives you no advantage here. The weather, time, and bait you fish with are what matter.

Add to Google Preferences →What each FischFright 3 relic does on a rod
Each relic works much like the standard Enchant Relics. It gives your rod a 10 percent chance to apply its own mutation, which multiplies the fish’s sell value. It also adds a passive bonus and, for most relics, a penalty.
| Relic | Mutation (10% chance) | Bonus | Penalty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Doomed Relic | Doom, 6x value | Rare slashes during the catch | -0.15 Control |
| Vile Relic | Vile, 6x value | +10% Forced Progress Speed | -10% fish weight |
| Grim Relic | Grim, 6x value | +25% starting Progress Speed | -10% Resilience |
| Eldritch Relic | Eldritch, 7x value | 50% escape recovery, borrowed traits | None |
Doomed Relic
Doomed Relic mostly gives you the Doom mutation roll. Its slash effect on Progress Speed is small and inconsistent, and the Control loss makes the reel harder to handle. If your main rod needs to stay steady, put this relic on a secondary rod instead.

Vile Relic
Vile Relic makes your forced pulls stronger, but every fish you land comes in about a tenth lighter. That penalty matters most when a quest asks for fish of a certain size.

Grim Relic
Grim Relic gives you a head start on every reel-in. In exchange, it lowers Resilience slightly.

Eldritch Relic
Eldritch Relic is the rarest of the four, and its mutation pays the most. When the fish icon slips off the Control Bar, there is a 50 percent chance it snaps back on its own. You can also borrow any trait from the other relics for a single minigame session.

Getting to Caustic Hallow and the Dutchman Merchant
Every relic source is tied to the event island, so start by traveling there.
An arrival cutscene plays on every trip. A Mystic Mirror lets you skip it, which saves time if you keep going back and forth for pool spawns. To shop, board the Flying Dutchman and speak to the Dutchman Merchant. If you can’t reach the deck, jump up with a Gravity Coil or a Glider.
Fishing conditions for each relic
Every relic requires Autumn. Three of them also need a Jack-o-Moon at night. Vile is the exception, because it only needs Foggy weather and bites at any time of day.
| Relic | Weather | Time | Preferred bait |
|---|---|---|---|
| Doomed Relic | Jack-o-Moon | Night | Sour Jelly Candy |
| Vile Relic | Foggy | Any | Black Licorice |
| Grim Relic | Jack-o-Moon | Night | Black Licorice |
| Eldritch Relic | Jack-o-Moon | Night | Sour Jelly Candy |
The Doomed Relic’s Bestiary entry lists Sour Jelly Candy, but Black Licorice is also widely used for it. If one bait isn’t working under a Jack-o-Moon, switch to the other.
None of these are quick catches. Each relic has a Progress Speed penalty, which makes the reel-in take noticeably longer than an ordinary event fish.
| Stat | Doomed, Vile, Grim | Eldritch |
|---|---|---|
| Resilience | 20 | 25 |
| Progress Speed | -50% | -60% |
| XP | 1,500 | 4,000 |
| Base Value | 2,500 C$ | 7,500 C$ |
| Base Weight | 21 kg | 21 kg |
Each relic’s base sell value matches its merchant price. That means buying one with Treats converts currency at an even rate.
Frightful Pools
Frightful Pools are localized events that spawn in Grim, Vile, Doomed, and Eldritch versions. Each pool can give its matching relic as a secondary catch, at a 1 percent chance. The Doomed Pool glows red. The Eldritch pool can also drop the Doomed Relic, which gives you two relic rolls in one spot.
- Pools take roughly an hour to spawn, and which variant appears is random.
- Your Control drops while you fish inside a pool.
- The Frightful Pool Totem costs 3,000 Treats and summons a pool immediately, but the variant is still random.
Trick-or-treating for relics
Most door knocks give candy, not relics, so treat trick-or-treating as something to do while you wait for the right weather. Each door has an 8-minute cooldown.
The Leviathan Mask and Mossjaw Mask cost 1,500 Treats each at the Dutchman Merchant. Both improve your odds at rare door rewards. The Astral Plane is not a fishing spot. If you cast there, the game sends you back outside the house with the message “You must’ve hallucinated…”
Event quests that award relics
Some FischFright 3 quests can award a relic. To get a guaranteed one, appease every Scarecrow in Scarecrow’s Maze at the scarecrow altar. The reward bundle includes a Vile Relic, a Doomed Skull, Frightful Caskets, and Treats. That makes Vile the one relic you can earn without spending Treats or relying on a drop roll.
Frankenstein’s cemetery rituals
Frankenstein stands next to the central altar in the Caustic Hallow cemetery. Talk to him to open the ritual list. Starting any ritual costs 100 Treats, and rituals unlock in a fixed order. Paying starts a placement timer that cannot be paused. Before it runs out, put each ingredient on its Jack-o-Lantern pedestal and the required skull on the Skeleton Hand altar. Items still in your inventory don’t count. Other players on the server can help place items.
Only 2026 FischFright Skulls are accepted. Skulls left over from FischFright 2 will not work.
Scary Relic Ritual: one random Doomed, Vile, or Grim
This ritual unlocks after you complete the Hexed Ritual and hold one Awakened Skeletal Hand. You can’t choose which of the three relics you get.
| Slot | Required item |
|---|---|
| Jack-o-Lantern | Sour Patch Salmon |
| Jack-o-Lantern | Strange Root |
| Jack-o-Lantern | Grim-mutated Gargoyle Grouper |
| Jack-o-Lantern | Vile-mutated Broomstick Bass |
| Jack-o-Lantern | Doomed-mutated Crypt Crab |
| Jack-o-Lantern | Spider Eye |
| Jack-o-Lantern | Bat Wing |
| Jack-o-Lantern | Any 2026 FischFright Skull |
| Skeleton Hand | Any 2026 FischFright Skull |
The three fish must carry the listed mutation, not just be the right species. Bring two 2026 skulls, because one goes on a pedestal and the other goes on the hand altar.
Eldritch Ritual: guaranteed Eldritch plus a random relic
This ritual awards an Eldritch Relic and one random Doomed, Vile, or Grim Relic. It opens only after you meet these requirements:
- Complete the Haunted Cemetery Ritual.
- Reach Hex Stage 2.
- Hold four Awakened Skeletal Hands.
The Jack-o-Lanterns take seven Witch Ingredients of any kind. The Skeleton Hands take three Dark Art Skulls and one 2026 FischFright Skull. Dark Art Skulls come from finishing Goblin Quests on Hard difficulty. Witch Ingredients drop from Goblins and from Hexed Ritual rewards. Collect all seven ingredients before you pay the 100 Treats, because the timer starts as soon as you do.
How to confirm you have a FischFright 3 relic
When you land a relic, a notification appears at the top-middle of the screen, such as “You just got a Doomed Relic at 21kg!” A “Bestiary: New Catch!” alert follows, and your character says a line about the catch. For the Doomed Relic, the lines are “Woah.. A Doomed Relic??”, “Doom approaches!”, or “Pure malice sealed in stone.”

Each relic then appears under the Limited Fish section of the Bestiary’s [FischFright 3] tab, along with its catch count and preferred conditions. Relics bought from the merchant also show up there. Your set is complete once all four Bestiary entries are filled in or all four relics are in your inventory.
