Two back-to-back two-hour sessions boost Gold and Gummy Sprite spawns and hand everyone a Mythic Goldfish.

Two back-to-back two-hour sessions boost Gold and Gummy Sprite spawns and hand everyone a Mythic Goldfish.

The Gold and Gummy Hours are Fortnite’s next Power Hour, running two separate sessions on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Both windows raise how often Gold and Gummy Sprites show up across the Island, and each one lasts a full two hours after the Chapter 7 Season 3 schedule change that stretched Power Hours from one hour to two.

Quick answer: Log in on July 4 for the first session at 2 PM ET (11 AM PT) or the second at 9 PM ET (6 PM PT). Drop into Fortnite, farm chests for boosted Gold and Gummy Sprites, and extract any variant you find to keep it.

Release time: July 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET (11:00 AM PT)

Gold and Gummy Hours start times by region

Two sessions run back to back on the same day. The first begins at 2 PM ET and the second at 9 PM ET, and each stays live for two hours. The timings hold steady no matter which Sprite types are featured that week, so you can plan around your region below.

Every gameplay modifier during the event

The modifiers only apply while a session is live. They reshape both loot and combat, so the two-hour window plays very differently from a standard match.

ModifierWhat it does
Spawn ratesGold Sprites and Gummy Sprites appear far more often across the map.
Starting loadoutEvery player drops in holding a Mythic Goldfish and a Self-Revive Device.
Mythic Goldfish hitLanding a hit launches the opponent into the air.
Mythic Goldfish eliminationGetting a kill with it drops a large amount of Gold Bars.
Campfire buffSprites level up faster while you use Campfires.

The Mythic Goldfish adds a second reason to engage beyond Sprite hunting. Because eliminations with it pay out Gold Bars, you can build resources and collect Sprites in the same run.

How to make the boosted spawns count

Queue in during one of the two windows for your region. The elevated Gold and Gummy spawn rates are the whole point, so time your drop for when the session is active rather than farming beforehand.
Loot aggressively and crack as many chests as you can. Gold Sprites are harder to find outside these windows, so cycle through more chests per match instead of camping one spot.
Extract every Gold or Gummy variant you pick up. A Sprite only becomes yours once the extraction finishes and it appears in your collection back in the lobby. Using a Portable Extractor lowers the risk of losing a rare find at a contested Extraction Site.

Note: You know a pull is secured when the Sprite shows up in your lobby collection after the match, not while the extraction bar is still filling. Dying mid-extraction is the most common way to lose one.

With two two-hour sessions on July 4, a Mythic Goldfish for everyone, and faster Campfire level-ups, the Gold and Gummy Hours give the most generous window this week to round out a Gold or Gummy Sprite collection before the season winds down. Set an alarm for your region’s slot and be ready to drop.
