Forza Horizon 6 King of the Road Weekly Challenge: All Four Tasks Explained

Every task in the 1989 Nissan Silvia K's challenge, the unlock requirement, and how to confirm each one is done.

Every task in the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s challenge, the unlock requirement, and how to confirm each one is done.

The King of the Road weekly challenge in Forza Horizon 6 runs through the Festival Playlist and is built entirely around one car, the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s. It has four tasks, and they must be cleared in order, so you cannot jump ahead to the last one. None of them are hard once you know the setup for each.

Quick answer: Drive the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s, earn 3 stars at any drift zone, win any road race, then complete two runs at the Festival Kilometer Drag Meet in the same car. Each task ticks off as you meet its condition.

Unlock requirement: Rookie tier (Yellow Wristband)

Before the challenge appears, you need to reach the Rookie tier in the Wristband progression system, marked by the Yellow Wristband. That means earning at least 1,250 Wristband Points. Racing and completing missions in the Discover Japan series is the fastest way to hit that number.

Once you reach that tier, the weekly challenge shows up under the Festival Playlist. The playlist refreshes every Thursday.

The four King of the Road tasks in order

2Earn 3 stars at drift zonesAny drift zone, stars can be spread across zones
3Win a road raceFinish first in any road race
4Complete two runs at the Festival Kilometer Drag MeetFinish two runs, winning not required

Task 1: Own and drive the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s

This task completes on its own the moment you drive the car. The Silvia K’s is one of the starter cars, so if you kept it from the beginning, you are already set. If you sold it or never had it, buy it back from the Autoshow for 40,000 credits. It also turns up at Aftermarket spots on the map.

Drive it to the nearest Horizon festival and the first task registers automatically.

Task 2: Earn 3 stars at drift zones

Any drift zone on the map counts, and there is no specific one you have to visit. You do not need all three stars in a single run either. Splitting the total across zones works, so three separate one-star runs will satisfy the task just as well.

The Silvia K’s already drifts well, and equipping drift tyres makes it easier. Keep your speed steady through the slide instead of flooring it, hold your angle, and let the score build. An offroad drift zone works nicely because the reduced grip makes it simple to score. If you fall short, just retry the same zone.

Task 3: Win a road race

Pick any road race and finish in first place. Before you start, swap the drift tyres back to stock or sport tyres, because drift tyres cut grip and will hurt you on a standard road race.

Difficulty does not affect the win. If you are struggling, lower the AI to Highly Skilled or Skilled. The task counts regardless of the difficulty you finish on.

Task 4: Complete two runs at the Festival Kilometer Drag Meet

Drag Meets are live events where you race other players in the open world. Once the Festival Kilometer Drag Meet is available, complete two runs in the Silvia K’s. If it does not appear yet, it has not unlocked, so keep progressing.

You only need to finish both runs. Winning is not part of the requirement. Watch the countdown, though, since launching too early can disqualify you on that run.

How to confirm the challenge is complete

Each task marks itself as done in the Festival Playlist menu as its condition is met, and the reward unlocks once all four show as complete. If a task refuses to tick, the most common reasons are simple to check.

  • You are not driving the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s for the task in question.
  • You tried to skip ahead instead of clearing the tasks in order.
  • The Festival Kilometer Drag Meet has not unlocked yet, so it will not appear on the map.
  • You finished a road race but did not take first place.

Stick with the Silvia K’s from start to finish, clear each task in sequence, and the King of the Road challenge wraps up quickly once you reach the Rookie tier.
