Although iOS 12 update is available for the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, and iPhone 5s, these devices aren’t getting some of the best features of iOS 12. Both Siri Shortcuts and the new Measure app aren’t available for the aging devices.
While not supporting the Measure app on iPhone 6 is understandable due to hardware limitations, but Siri Shortcuts has nothing to with hardware support. Sure, the iPhone 6 doesn’t support hands-free talking to Siri, but Apple still did feature Siri on iPhone 6. And Siri Shortcuts could have only added to the Siri experience on the device.
Siri Shortcuts is only supported on following iPhone and iPad devices:
- iPhone SE
- iPhone 6S and 6S Plus
- iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
- iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
- iPhone X
- iPhone XS and XS Max
- iPhone XR
