Grounded 2: How to Get Super Stink Sack in the Into the Abyss Update

The Super Stink Sack is a Tier 3 material added to Grounded 2 through the Into the Abyss update. It is described as an incredibly potent sack of stink harvested from a formidable foe, and it drops from a single family of creatures. If you want to craft Super Gas Arrows, this is the resource you need to farm.

Quick answer: Kill a Green Shield Bug (or its O.G.R.R. and O.R.C. variants), then hold the harvest button on its remains. Each kill yields around three Super Stink Sacks along with Green Shield Bug Parts.

Where to find Green Shield Bugs

Super Stink Sacks come only from Green Shield Bugs and their O.G.R.R. and O.R.C. versions. These bugs gather near the pond, and a reliable spot sits by the stone steps and bridge area at roughly -4° N / 45° E on the in-game map. Multiple Green Shield Bugs spawn around this location, which makes it a good place to farm several sacks in one trip.

Open your map and mark the bridge near the stone steps so you can return to the same cluster after each respawn. Approaching from higher ground lets you scope a target before you commit to the fight.

How to beat the Green Shield Bug

The Green Shield Bug releases gas during the fight, so preparation matters more than raw damage. Bring a stabbing weapon such as a spear and equip a gas mask before you engage.

Equip a spear or another stabbing weapon. The bug resists smashing and spicy attacks, so a piercing weapon shortens the fight.

Put on a gas mask before you attack. This prevents the gas damage the Green Shield Bug produces during combat.

Close in and keep hitting until the bug falls. Fresh-element attacks also work well if you have them available.

Harvest the remains to collect the sack

Defeating the bug is only half the job. The Super Stink Sack drops when you harvest the fallen creature, so walk up to the remains and hold the harvest button.

A single kill typically returns three Super Stink Sacks and three Green Shield Bug Parts. You will know it worked when both items appear in your pickup notifications and enter your inventory. Since several bugs spawn in the pond area, clear the group and harvest each one to stock up quickly.

What Super Stink Sack is used for

Super Stink Sack is a Natural Resource in the Tier 3 rarity band. Its main purpose is crafting Super Gas Arrows, and it also goes into a decorative bug trophy.

Once you analyze the material, you can duplicate it for 950 Raw Science if you would rather buy copies than farm more bugs. For most players, though, the pond spawn point is the fastest way to keep a steady supply of Super Stink Sacks flowing into your Super Gas Arrow crafting.
