The Arena update landed in Grow a Chicken Fighter on August 22, 2026, and it changes what a strong account looks like. Instead of dumping every resource into one monster rooster, you now need three fighters good enough to survive player-versus-player matches. The patch also adds rebirth milestone rewards, the Ascension Egg, nine new chickens, and fresh Recycler upgrades.

How Chicken Arena works
Arena is a team mode, not a single-fighter duel. That distinction matters because most accounts up to this point were built around one heavily fused chicken carrying everything else. Three roster slots means your second and third best birds suddenly have a job.
Two rank checkpoints are worth targeting directly. Hitting Master V grants one Ascension Egg, and hitting Grandmaster I grants another. Those are the only Arena rank rewards that hand over the new egg.
Season 1 is slated to end on September 19, 2026.
Rebirth milestones and how to get the Ascension Egg
Rebirth milestones are the main way to obtain Ascension Eggs. Three thresholds pay out an egg each, and they are spaced far enough apart that this is a long-term goal rather than an afternoon of grinding.

Every rebirth wipes your chicken’s level, your accumulated money, and your coop upgrades. In exchange you keep a permanent Cash bonus, a Corn bonus, faster egg hatch times, and a higher Recycler level. Those carryover bonuses are why repeated resets get progressively quicker.
Note: reaching a milestone is confirmed by the reward appearing in your inventory. If you rebirth past a threshold and see no egg, check that you actually crossed the counter rather than sitting one reset short.
Ascension Egg hatch rates and chickens
Five chickens sit in the Ascension Egg pool. The Eclipse Hen is the prize at the bottom of the list, and at a 1% rate you should not expect it from your first few eggs.

On top of the base result, every chicken hatched has a 0.5% chance of rolling the Inverted mutation. That applies independently of which of the five you pull, so an Inverted Skycrest Rooster is far more likely than an Inverted Eclipse Hen.
Redeem the ASCEND code
The update shipped with one new code. It is case-sensitive, so type it exactly as written.
ASCEND and press Redeem. The rewards drop into your account immediately, so if nothing appears, the code was mistyped or already claimed on that account.The reward listed for ASCEND is 48,000 Coins. What to prioritize after the update
Because Arena scores a full team rather than a single unit, resources spent fusing and upgrading your second and third chickens now carry real weight. The new Recycler upgrades feed into that, and the improved weekly rewards give a steadier drip of materials than before.
If you are chasing the Eclipse Hen specifically, the two Arena rank rewards are the fastest additional Ascension Eggs available without grinding to 100 rebirths. Master V and Grandmaster I are the only ranks that pay out, so treat those as your Trophy targets rather than climbing aimlessly.
