The Artisan Rod is one of the few high-end fishing rods in Fisch that skips quests, crafting recipes, and boss fights entirely. It sits in a rotating weekly shop run by an NPC in town, and the only real barrier is cash. If you have the coins on hand, you can walk in, buy it, and equip it in under a minute.
Quick answer: Find Elder Kaido in town, interact with him to open Kaito’s Weekly Shop, and buy the Artisan Rod for 80,000 C$.
What you need before buying the Artisan Rod
There is no quest chain, no crafting bench, and no material grind attached to this rod. The single requirement is 80,000 C$ in your balance when you open the shop menu. Check your coin total before making the trip so you are not standing in front of the vendor short by a few thousand.
The rod is sold in Fisch on Roblox, and the stock is tied to a weekly shop rotation rather than a permanent listing.

The rod leans heavily on Luck and weight capacity, with a Progress Speed bonus on top of the five standard rod stats. Here is the full block as it appears in the inventory, along with what each number changes while you fish.
| Stat | Value | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Lure Speed | 65% | How fast the rod hooks a fish after casting |
| Luck | 145% | Raises the chance of hooking rarer fish |
| Control | 0.15 | Widens the white bar during the reeling minigame |
| Resilience | 40% | Reduces how much the fish icon moves while reeling |
| Max Kg | 150,000kg | Heaviest fish the rod can catch |
| Progress Speed | +10% | Fills the catch progress bar faster |

Note: the 150,000kg ceiling matters more than it looks. A rod cannot catch a fish whose minimum possible weight sits above its Max Kg, so a low cap silently locks you out of entire catches rather than just making them harder.
Kaido’s Blessing passive and the slashing attacks
The Artisan Rod does not sit idle during a fight. Its passive produces rhythmic slashing attacks while you are reeling, and each one pushes the catch progress along for you. That works alongside the flat +10% Progress Speed, so longer fights against heavy fish resolve noticeably quicker than they would on a rod with no passive.

The rod also carries its own mutation, Kaido’s Blessing, which is exclusive to it. Mutations in Fisch apply to the fish you land and change what that catch is worth, so the value of the rod is not limited to the numbers in its stat block.
Why the purchase may not go through
There are only two things that stop this buy. The first is cash, since the shop will not let you confirm without the full 80,000 C$. The second is stock, because Kaito’s Weekly Shop rotates and an entry that has already been bought out shows a Sold Out button in place of a purchase option.
If the rod is not listed at all when you talk to Elder Kaido, it is not part of the current rotation. Nothing you do on your end unlocks it early; the shop has to cycle before the listing returns.
Once it is in your inventory, the Artisan Rod behaves like any other rod for enchanting and general use, so you can take it to the Keepers Altar with an Enchant Relic later if you want to build on the stat spread it already has.
