How to Make the Wrixel Skin Look Like Minecraft Steve in Fortnite

The exact style and color selections that turn Fortnite's blocky Wrixel outfit into a Steve lookalike.

The exact style and color selections that turn Fortnite’s blocky Wrixel outfit into a Steve lookalike.

Fortnite’s Wrixel outfit is built out of chunky, low-poly shapes, and that blocky silhouette is close enough to Minecraft’s default character that a few locker settings finish the job. There is no crossover unlock involved here. Everything comes from Wrixel’s own style and color menus, which means the Steve look costs nothing extra once you own the outfit.

Quick answer: Equip Wrixel, open Edit Style, and set Base to Artisan, Accessory to Short Hair, Upper to T Shirt, and Lower to Pants. Then set Accessory Color to Rustic, Clothing Pattern to No Pattern, Shirt Color to Sea Green, Lower Color to Navy, and Shoe Color to Black.

Wrixel Steve settings: full style and color list

Every selection sits inside Wrixel’s Edit Style menu, split across the style options and the color options. Nothing else needs to change.

Set the Wrixel style options in the locker

Open your locker, go to the Character slot, and search for “wrixel” in the outfit list. Select the skin so it is equipped before you touch anything else.
With Wrixel equipped, choose Edit Style. This opens the outfit’s variant menu, where the body, hair, and clothing pieces are listed separately.
Under Base, pick Artisan. The default Hero and Inventor bases have the wrong proportions for the look, so this one does the heavy lifting.

Move to Accessory and select Short Hair. The Afro option is the default here and will break the silhouette.
Set Upper to T Shirt and Lower to Pants. Hoodie and Generic Taper add bulk and shape that Steve does not have.

Apply the Steve color palette

Switch to the Colors tab in the same Edit Style menu. The swatches here are what actually sell the look.
Change Accessory Color from White to Rustic. That turns the hair brown instead of leaving it pale.
Set Clothing Pattern to No Pattern. Wrixel ships with the Cuddle Team pattern applied, and any pattern will show through the shirt.

Set Shirt Color to Sea Green and Lower Color to Navy. That pairing is the teal top and blue jeans combination.
Finish by setting Shoe Color to Black, then back out of the menu to save.

How to check the Steve look applied correctly

The locker preview updates live, so you can confirm it without loading into a match. The finished character should have brown hair, a sea green shirt with no graphic on the front, navy legs, and black shoes.

If it still looks off, it is almost always one of three things. The Base is left on Hero, Inventor, or Architect instead of Artisan. The hair is still set to Afro. Or the Clothing Pattern was never switched to No Pattern, which leaves a design printed across the shirt no matter which color you pick.

Note: the style and color menus are separate tabs. Changing the shirt color does nothing if the pattern is still active on top of it.

Since this is a saved Wrixel preset rather than a separate outfit, you can flip back to the default styling at any time and return to the Steve setup later by re-entering the same nine values. Pair it with a plain back bling if you want the silhouette to stay as close to the original as possible.
