How to Unlock Double Cursed Technique at Saiyaku Village

Hit level 700, clear the trainer's 1,000-point timing trial, and bank 1,000 Soul Fragments to open the second slot.

Hit level 700, clear the trainer’s 1,000-point timing trial, and bank 1,000 Soul Fragments to open the second slot.

Running two Cursed Techniques at once is gated behind a two-part quest chain from a single NPC, and the whole thing lives in one village in the second world. Once the second slot is open, you can hold something like Cursed Spirit Manipulation and Disaster Flames at the same time and swap between their movesets mid-fight, including inside a Domain Expansion.

Quick answer: Reach level 700, go to Saiyaku Village in the Kyoto Region, then finish the Cursed Energy Trainer’s 1,000-point timing trial and hand in 1,000 Soul Fragments to unlock Slot 2.

Requirements for the second Cursed Technique slot

There is a hard level gate on the first quest. If you talk to the trainer below the threshold, the chain will not start, so level up before making the trip.

The Double CT unlock arrived alongside the semi-special grade Cursed Seal Scroll relic, which applies a slow and seal effect. That relic is a separate drop and is not needed for the slot unlock.

Where to find the Cursed Energy Trainer in Saiyaku Village

Open the World Selection menu and pick the Kyoto Region (World 2). The trainer does not exist in the starting world, so there is no point searching there.
Travel north from Calamity Forest until you reach Saiyaku Village. The village sits directly above the forest on the map, and the quest NPC is inside it.
Walk up to the Cursed Energy Trainer and interact. If you meet the level requirement, the first quest starts immediately and drops you into the timing challenge.

Quest 1: Score 1,000 points in the timing minigame

The first task is a ring-matching test of cursed energy control. A shrinking ring closes in on a target, and you click when the two line up. Accurate hits add points; sloppy timing wastes attempts.

Watch the ring’s speed for the first few rounds before committing. The rhythm stays consistent, so once you find it, you can chain hits without looking away.
Keep clicking until the counter reaches 1,000 points. It is a long grind rather than a hard one, and it does not reset your progress between sessions of clicking.
When the counter hits the target, the trainer hands you the second quest. That is your confirmation the first stage is done.

Quest 2: Farm 1,000 Soul Fragments in the Innate Domain

Soul Fragments come from the Innate Domain, a wave survival mode that pits you against cursed spirits across 100 waves. Each cleared wave pays out fragments, and the payout scales the deeper you push.

Enter the Innate Domain challenge. The objective banner reads “Survive the Innate Domain,” with the current wave count next to it.

Push past the early waves rather than restarting. Boss waves in the 50 to 62 range drop noticeably more Soul Fragments per clear than the opening rounds, so a single deep run beats several shallow ones.
Check your inventory until the Soul Fragment stack reads 1,000. That is the exact amount the quest consumes.

Turn in the quest and confirm Slot 2 is unlocked

Return to the Cursed Energy Trainer in Saiyaku Village with the full stack and hand it over. The fragments are deducted and the Second Cursed Technique Slot unlocks on the spot.

To verify it worked, open your technique menu. A SLOT 2 option appears next to your existing slot, and it can be selected and filled. If you still see only one slot, the turn-in did not register.

How two equipped Cursed Techniques behave in combat

Slot each technique separately, then switch between them in a fight. With Cursed Spirit Manipulation in Slot 1 and Disaster Flames in Slot 2, the ability bar swaps to the matching moveset as you toggle, so both kits are available from the same character.

The two slots share cooldowns. Swapping techniques does not hand you a fresh set of abilities, so burning your moves on one technique leaves you waiting on the other as well.

Domain Expansion still works normally with both techniques equipped, which is where the setup pays off. You can open a domain and chain moves from one technique into the other without leaving it, mixing summons with ranged fire pressure in the same sequence.

Because the shared cooldown caps how fast you can cycle, the strongest pairings tend to combine a summon or zoning technique with a burst damage one rather than two techniques that compete for the same opening. Pick the second slot with that overlap in mind before spending your fragments.
