Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Underground Missions Walkthrough: Eye in the Sky, Watch for Bumps and Triangulation

The first Underground chapter in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ sits on DMZ ORDERS PG 2 as CH. UNDERGROUND 1/2. It holds three orders, Eye in the Sky, Watch for Bumps and Triangulation. Together they send you to a SAM site, through a stretch of roadkill driving, and up two radio towers plus a rooftop in Songdo Wharf. You can clear the whole page in one or two deployments.

Quick answer: Capture the Imjin Farmland SAM site and loot the crate it shoots down. Steal an enemy vehicle, run over 7 enemies, then park at a gas station. Place transmitters on 2 radio towers and La Grande Vie’s roof.

The order text for Eye in the Sky asks for “a SAM Site,” so Imjin Farmland is one site that works rather than a fixed requirement. The same goes for the two radio towers in Triangulation, which are marked on your tac map once the order is active.

Eye in the Sky: capture a SAM site and loot the downed chopper

Eye in the Sky has three objectives: “Commandeer a SAM Site,” “Shoot Down a Chopper Carrying Cargo With a SAM Site” and “Loot a Crate From a Downed Chopper.” The last two mostly take care of themselves once the capture is done.

Use the tac map to mark the SAM site at Imjin Farmland. Find a nearby vehicle, such as a Grizzly (prompt ENTER GRIZZLY), close to your infil and drive to the site.

Take out the guards stationed by the SAM launcher. The area is rated LOW threat.

Start capturing the site by using the laptop on the launcher. Beneath SIDE-OPS, a CAPTURE TIME bar will appear with the label “Capture SAM Site”.

Hold your ground beside the launcher until the bar fills. A few enemies arrive in trucks to contest the site, so fight them from where you stand.

Wandering into the nearby sheds pauses the capture timer.

Stay close to the site after SIDE OP COMPLETE appears and “Commandeer a SAM Site” is marked complete. The captured SAM automatically targets and shoots down a cargo chopper, finishing the second objective.

Locate the parachuting crate on the map. It lands near the Hajin River, down the slope from the farmland.

Hold F on the crate at the “HOLD TO OPEN CARE PACKAGE” prompt and loot the CARE PACKAGE LOOT CONTAINER. That completes “Loot a Crate From a Downed Chopper” and the order.

Move along after taking what you need; other squads may also make for the drop.

Watch for Bumps: steal, run over 7 enemies, refuel

Watch for Bumps lists “Steal an Enemy Vehicle,” “Refuel and Repair a Vehicle at a Gas Station” and “Run Over 7 Enemies in a Vehicle.” Cheongun Village and the roads around it cover all three, so you can do them in a single loop.

Take an enemy vehicle, either by killing the soldiers using one or by climbing into a parked enemy truck. An enemy truck in Cheongun Village works, and the objective ticks the moment you are inside.

Drive through Cheongun Village and out toward Heavenly Luck Casino, where soldiers on foot are plentiful. The casino area is a HIGH threat zone, and the counter tracks your progress up to 7/7.

Switch vehicles if yours catches fire from enemy gunfire. Any enemy vehicle, a Grizzly for example, keeps the run-over count going.

Ping the gas station in Cheongun Village from the tac map and drive there. Stop under the canopy by the pumps, and the vehicle refuels and repairs automatically while REFUELING AND REPAIRING… shows on screen.

When it finishes, “Refuel and Repair a Vehicle at a Gas Station” completes. No button press is needed.

Triangulation: radio tower and La Grande Vie transmitters

For Triangulation, place transmitters atop 2 radio towers, followed by one on La Grande Vie’s roof in Songdo Wharf. On the tac map, towers are labeled ORDER OBJECTIVE / RADIO TOWER; ping the closest one.

Climb the tower by jumping and mantling along its girders. Grab the horizontal bars from the side instead of jumping at them head-on.

Open the TOWER CRATE at the top if you want the loot. It is not part of the order.

On the upper platform, search around the posts for the placement prompt and hold the interact key. This changes the counter to 1/2.

For a fast trip down, use the crane’s top button (PRESS BUTTON). You can also jump and use your parachute.

Deadtown radio tower

The Deadtown tower needs no girder jumping. Climb the ladders up each platform stage, and at the top use PLACE RADIO TRANSMITTER. The counter reads 2/2.

La Grande Vie roof in Songdo Wharf

Mark La Grande Vie on the map’s east side. Take the elevated railway tracks for a fast drive into Songdo Wharf.

Be cautious as you approach: Songdo Wharf is busy, and a Commander (Colossus) may be active in the area.

Go inside La Grande Vie and climb the stairs to the top; there is no elevator.

Head to the tall antenna on the roof and place the final transmitter. You can ignore the generator (TURN ON THE GENERATOR) that powers a SECURITY STATION with camera feeds, since the order does not need it.

The placement finishes Triangulation and the chapter page; look for the LEVEL UP / NEW REWARDS banner as confirmation.
