Gold Coins are the currency that gates most of Palworld’s late-game shopping. You need them to buy Pals from merchants, purchase schematics and eggs, stock up on ammo materials, and expand your bases. Rather than grinding for coins by hand, the strongest approach is to set up systems that generate gold while you play, then top them up with high-value selling when you need a big lump sum.
Quick answer: Early on, put several Mau on a Ranch for passive coins. At Technology Level 48, build the Gold Coin Assembly Line fed by an ore-mining base to convert 1 Ingot into 100 Gold. For fast active income, capture and sell high-value Pals or trap the Black Marketeer for 10,000+ Gold per run.
Early-game passive income: build a Mau Ranch
The lowest-effort way to earn gold while you level up is a Ranch stocked with Pals that carry the Gold Digger trait. Mau and Mau Cryst drop Gold Coins directly into the Ranch output over time, so you can leave the base running and collect coins whenever you check back.

Vixy and Dumud Gild can also produce gold on a Ranch. Vixy occasionally drops coins among its other items, and Dumud Gild has a chance to give Gold instead of its usual Pal Oil. These returns are modest, so treat the Ranch as steady background income rather than your main earner.

Add to Google Preferences →The Gold Coin Assembly Line: the endgame money printer

Once you reach Technology Level 48, the Gold Coin Assembly Line becomes the most reliable source of income in the game. It converts a single Ingot into 100 Gold Coins, so a base that feeds it a constant stream of ore effectively prints money. Each batch can process up to 9,999 coins, generating close to one million Gold when fully loaded.
Unlocking the structure costs 3 Technology Points, and building it requires the following materials.
| Material | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Pal Metal Ingots | 100 |
| Nails | 50 |
| Circuit Boards | 20 |
| Cement | 30 |
The full production chain is simple. Mining Pals dig ore, smelters turn Raw Metal into Ingots, and the assembly line converts each Ingot into coins. To keep it running smoothly, pair it with a strong mining and smelting operation.
You know the setup is working when Ingots flow into storage, the assembly line consumes them, and Gold Coins accumulate without stalls. If production halts, the usual cause is Pal SAN dropping too low or an interrupted Ingot supply. Scale output by adding a second assembly line and more medicine benches once the first is stable.

Tip: Use chest restrictions to stop Pals mixing resources. Set ore-only storage near mining areas, Ingot-only containers by the Furnaces, and ingredient-only chests near crafting stations. Configure Pals with the Monitoring Stand so miners mine and handiwork Pals transport.
Passive mining bases for AFK gold
If you would rather sell raw materials than convert them into coins, a mining base near valuable nodes generates income with almost no active input. Assign mining Pals, leave the base running, and sell the stockpile periodically.

| Stage | Location / node | Recommended Pals | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
| Early | Desolate Church (62, -416) | Dumud, Lovander, Lapiron, Elgrove | Sell ore at any Wandering Merchant |
| Mid | Quartz nodes (-208, 249) | Four Blazamut (Level 7 mining) | ~3,000 quartz over a couple of hours, worth ~300,000 gold |
| Late | Pure Quartz Quarry (Level 52) or Hexalite Quartz Mine (Level 62) | As many Blazamut as possible | Soralite at 250 gold each; ~700,000 gold per hour per base |
Soralite is a major upgrade over standard quartz because it sells for 250 gold each versus 50 for quartz. A base built entirely around Soralite can produce roughly 700,000 gold per hour, and running four bases on the same setup can push that to around 4 million gold per hour passively.
To skip the walk to distant vendors, capture a Wandering Merchant or Black Marketeer and assign them to your base as a roaming NPC. You can then sell directly from the base and buy stock without traveling.
Selling Pals for the highest gold-per-hour
Selling high-value Pals to a Pal Merchant is the fastest active method of earning gold. Prices climb further if you bring party Pals with the Noble and Fine Furs passive skills, which raise sell prices by up to 40% and reduce purchase costs.
Capturing Turtacle Terra on Sakurajima
Turtacle Terra normally sells for around 41,000 gold, rising to about 58,000 gold with Noble and Fine Furs stacked on five party members. It spawns along Sakurajima’s South Beach, and raising the Pals Appearance Rate in world settings increases how many spawn.

A tested 10-minute run captured 123 Pals, which works out to roughly 37.8 million gold per hour. That makes it the highest active earner currently available, though its sell value could be adjusted in a future balance patch.
Breeding and selling Alpha Dumud Gild
A breeding farm centered on Alpha Dumud Gild can produce around 5 million gold per hour per farm, scaling to about 20 million per hour across four farms once configured. The core loop pairs Broncherry and Broncherry Aqua in your party for a 100% chance of an Alpha egg, with Grintale adding a 75% chance to double eggs.
With Noble and Fine Furs active, each cake costs around 2,670 gold to produce from a Wandering Merchant’s ingredients, while a Dumud Gild sells for roughly 55,720 gold. That puts the value at about 94,840 gold per cake. Honey is the only ingredient you cannot buy, so run two Bee Yards with Beegards to produce it passively.
For maximum throughput, run four breeding farms, two cooking pots, and two Muldrons with Level 8 Kindling, which produce a cake in about 30 seconds to keep pace with the 66-second breeding cycle. The Large Incubator at Level 48 speeds up hatching. Other reliable sale Pals include Relaxaurus, which sells for around 13,000 gold at Level 80.
Trap the Black Marketeer for repeatable gold
The Black Marketeer is an NPC that drops a large pile of Gold Coins when defeated, and he respawns at fixed locations, so you can farm him repeatedly. He is a Level 30 NPC with 5,000 health, and defeating him does not give you Wanted status.
Selling items, gems, and dungeon loot
Mass-producing food and crafted goods gives a steady stream of gold before you reach the big automated methods. Nails remain a solid early earner, and cheaply automated foods like Baked Berries sell in bulk. Higher-tier cooked dishes such as Pizza and Cake are strong late-game sellers.
| Item | Sell price (each) |
|---|---|
| Baked Berries | 10 |
| Nails | 20 |
| High Quality Cloth | 40 |
| Salad | 120 |
| Pizza | 290 |
| Cake | 1,000 |
Precious materials and gems exist purely to be sold. These drop from Alpha Bosses and Lucky Pals as well as from certain wild Pals, and their value scales sharply with rarity.
| Precious item / gem | Sell price |
|---|---|
| Precious Pelt | 500 |
| Precious Claw | 750 |
| Precious Plume | 1,000 |
| Precious Entrails | 1,250 |
| Precious Dragon Stone | 1,500 |
| Ruby | 2,000 |
| Sapphire | 3,000 |
| Emerald | 4,000 |
| Diamond | 5,000 |
Running dungeons is another dependable income source. They drop sellable loot alongside chests and human enemy loot, and Lotus Flowers can sell for 5,000 to 10,000 gold each. Scrap piles hold gold directly, from roughly 200 in starter areas up to around 2,500 in the Feybreak and Sakurajima regions. A Fishing Pond staffed by Handiwork Pals also yields gold over time.
Which method to use at your level
Most of the highest-earning setups are gated behind level requirements, so match the method to where you are in the game. Below level 40, focus on a Mau Ranch, selling excess food like Baked Berries and Salad, and running early dungeons for precious loot. Trapping and burning the Black Marketeer is also viable early if you can survive the fight.
- Early (under Level 40): Mau Ranch, food and cloth sales, early dungeon loot, Black Marketeer runs.
- Mid: passive quartz mining bases, selling captured Pals, Legendary Sphere crafting.
- Late (Level 48+): Gold Coin Assembly Line with medicine support, Soralite mining, high-value Pal breeding and selling.
The most efficient long-term plan is to combine approaches. Keep a Ranch or mining base running for hands-off income, build the Gold Coin Assembly Line as soon as you hit Level 48, and use active Pal selling or Black Marketeer runs whenever you need a large sum quickly. Once these systems are in place, gold stops being a bottleneck and you can spend your time exploring, breeding, and raiding instead.
