Palworld: How to Get the Legendary Plasma Rifle (Saya & Selyne Hard Mode)

Farm the Legendary schematic from the Lv.80 hard boss, then craft the chaining electric rifle at an Ancient Workbench.

Farm the Legendary schematic from the Lv.80 hard boss, then craft the chaining electric rifle at an Ancient Workbench.

The Legendary Plasma Rifle is one of the strongest energy weapons you can build in Palworld, firing an electrical discharge that jumps between multiple enemies on impact. Getting it comes down to one thing: farming the Legendary schematic, which unlocks the recipe once it sits in your inventory. The most reliable drop comes from a single hard-mode boss.

Quick answer: Defeat Saya & Selyne, Leader of the Moonflowers, at Lv.80 on Hard difficulty for a 10% chance to drop the Plasma Rifle Schematic 4 (Legendary), then craft the rifle at an Ancient Workbench.

Where the Legendary Plasma Rifle schematic drops

The Legendary recipe is tied to the Plasma Rifle Schematic 4, an item that unlocks the Plasma Rifle (Legendary) recipe when held in your inventory. The best farm target is the hard-mode fight against Saya & Selyne, who carry a flat 10% drop chance for the schematic.

Take on Saya & Selyne, Leader of the Moonflowers, at Lv.80 on Hard difficulty. This is the primary source and gives the highest single-run odds at 10% per clear.
Repeat the fight if it does not drop. At 10% per kill, expect several runs on average before the schematic appears, so keep your loadout and ammo stocked for back-to-back attempts.

If you would rather chase it elsewhere, the schematic also appears in a handful of treasure and fishing sources, though the rates are far lower than the boss drop.

Craft the Legendary Plasma Rifle at an Ancient Workbench

Once the Plasma Rifle Schematic 4 is in your bag, the Legendary recipe becomes available at the Ancient Workbench. You will need a large stockpile of high-end materials and a heavy gold reserve to finish the build.

MaterialQuantity
Paloxite Ingot160
Bio Battery100
AI Core16
Ancient Civilization Core14
Ancient Civilization Parts10
Gold Coin1,120,000

Note: the standard (Common) Plasma Rifle uses a lighter recipe and unlocks through Technology at Level 78, needing 7 Ancient Civilization Core, 50 Bio Battery, 8 AI Core, and 80 Paloxite Ingot. The Legendary build is the same weapon at maximum rarity, so only pursue it once you can feed the extra materials.

Build the schematic from Plasma Rifle Schematic 3

You do not have to rely purely on the boss roll. If you collect lower-tier copies, you can promote them into the Legendary schematic at a Drafting Table. Combining 10 Plasma Rifle Schematic 3 produces a single Plasma Rifle Schematic 4, giving you a deterministic path once you have banked enough duplicates.

What the Plasma Rifle does

The Plasma Rifle is a ranged energy weapon added in the 1.0 update. Its shots release an electrical discharge at the point of impact that chains to nearby targets, which makes it a strong pick for clearing groups rather than dueling a single foe. It sits in the upper end of the endgame weapon rankings for that multi-target role.

Keep in mind that ammo supply matters as much as raw damage here. Set up a steady production line for Plasma Rifle Ammo before you commit to it as your main weapon, since its chaining shots burn through the 38-round magazine quickly in extended fights.

Confirm the Legendary rifle unlocked

You know the schematic worked when the Plasma Rifle (Legendary) recipe appears as a craftable option at the Ancient Workbench while the schematic is in your inventory. If it does not show, the most common reasons are that you are missing the schematic entirely, you are standing at the wrong crafting station, or you have not yet gathered the required materials. Fix those three things and the recipe becomes available.
