Chaos Ring item card and effect
Once you open the chest, Chaos Ring appears in your accessories as a “Support” item. The effect line reads: “Chaos Flame inflicts Sha-Chi Burn on enemies and restores 50% of the Sha-Chi they lose.”
The item description reads:
“The sinister flame within Chaos, the Third Master, had always been difficult to control, burning countless things to ash. Yet she carefully kept this ring, a gift from her senior sister, and never once wore it.”
How to polish Chaos Ring
Chaos Ring can be polished twice. Each polish raises the share of Sha-Chi you get back. The accessory does the same thing as before, only with bigger numbers.
| Polish | Sha-Chi restored | Remnant Dust | Material |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | 50% | None | None |
| Polish 1 | 75% | 52,800 | Tainted Crystal Shard |
| Polish 2 | 100% | 79,200 | Refined Indigo Crystal |
Polish 1
The first polish changes the effect to “Chaos Flame inflicts Sha-Chi Burn on enemies and restores 75% of the Sha-Chi they lose.” It costs 52,800 Remnant Dust plus a Tainted Crystal Shard. Quick Hand Zhang sells the shard for 7,440 Remnant Dust, and you can also look up where to find a Tainted Crystal Shard.
Polish 2
The second polish changes the effect to “Chaos Flame inflicts Sha-Chi Burn on enemies and restores 100% of the Sha-Chi they lose.” It costs 79,200 Remnant Dust plus a Refined Indigo Crystal. Quick Hand Zhang sells the crystal for 9,920 Remnant Dust at his Village of Lu, Pangzhen, Meigu Lake and Mirage Estate hideouts. You can also pick up a Refined Indigo Crystal in Mirrorwood Depths in the Crimson Forest.
What Chaos Ring is good for
Chaos Ring is a Support accessory: its Chaos Flame burns enemy Sha-Chi and returns some of the lost amount to you. Once both polishes are applied, the return reaches 100%. The upgrades require 52,800 and 79,200 Remnant Dust, respectively, making them much pricier than most accessories.
You have three accessory slots open from the start, so Chaos Ring can sit alongside two others. The full accessories list has every accessory with its effect and location, and there are more ways to increase damage in Phantom Blade Zero.
