Quick answer: Past the Shrine Gate, the road runs through a camp to a long flight of plain stone stairs. They end in a courtyard, with the bell off to one side.

Where The Lady’s Shrine is

The shrine sits at the summit of the Mountain of Imprisonment. The way up starts at the red Shrine Gate, which opens with the Shrine Gate Key. You reach that key from the Shrine Outer Gate bell.

The road and the stairs

Pass through the Shrine Gate and stay on the road. Near a plank bridge, an archer fires from range, dealing 280 to 525 damage on Wayfarer. Charging straight at him can get you killed in about 10 seconds.
Stay on the road; farther ahead, another archer perches on a ledge that you cannot reach on foot.
Continue until the road reaches a camp. It holds masked fighters (a Gold Mask and an Iron Mask), dogs, a fire archer, and a crossbowman.
The stairs start beyond the camp, at the rock wall: broad stone steps set among moss and ferns. You won’t need to climb or use a ladder. Stone lamps and lines of ancient grave tablets border the unadorned stairs.

Start up the stairs. Partway up, Maskwalker’s Gruff Voice calls out, “Go! Tell Jadeface!” Nothing attacks you on the stairs.

The stairway bends as it climbs, gaining about 16 m in total. Continue up the additional steps and through the misty section to arrive at the courtyard.

The courtyard and the bell

At the top, a paved court is strewn with dead bodies. The bell sits to one side amid red candles, shaped like a wooden cross covered in red cloth.

Press E to ring it. “The Lady’s Shrine” then appears on the map of the Mountain of Imprisonment, which is how you know it worked. The bell’s menu offers:

  • Traverse
  • Upgrade Equipment
  • Store
  • Train Abilities
  • Save
  • Leave

Ring it before you do anything else up here. It becomes your respawn point for what comes next.

The big wooden door

At the courtyard’s outer edge, an oversized wooden door bears an E prompt. Push it open to enter a snow-covered court, with a hall ahead.

Rest at the bell before entering the court, since stepping inside triggers the Jade-Face fight. Huangxing is in the hall beyond him.
