Ride A Pet: How to Get the Fox for the Second Rebirth

The Fox is the pet that gates the second Rebirth in Ride A Pet, and it stops a lot of players in their tracks. There is no egg called a “Fox Egg.” Instead, the Fox hatches from one of two eggs, and the route you pick decides whether you spend Robux or spend time riding the map.

Quick answer: Roll the Dragon Egg in the Shop, where the Fox is a printed 30% pull, or hunt see-through Glass Eggs near the stone tower and hatch them at your ranch. Keep your first Fox.

Which eggs hatch the Fox

Only two eggs produce a Fox. The Dragon Egg is a Robux gacha sold in the Shop that hatches on the spot with no nest, weight, or timer. Its pool holds five pets, and the Fox is the second most common result, so anyone rolling for the top-tier Dragon will pick up Foxes along the way.

Another choice is the Glass Egg, which you find on the map and carry back yourself. It may hatch a Horse or a Fox, making it the usual early-Rebirth goal for players who want to avoid spending Robux.

Rolls come in four bundles. The odds are identical across all of them, so the only thing the bundle changes is the price per roll.

Any roll can fail. After ten tries, there is still a 3% chance you end up without a Fox.

Glass Egg route: find, carry, and hatch

The free method means racing against a countdown. Glass Eggs appear in the world, require cash to pick up, and will break if you take too long to return. Equip your fastest mount, such as a Kangaroo, before searching so you can travel quickly.

Look across the rocky terrain by the river’s stone tower, the area where Glass Eggs appear most often. Search a moderate-radius loop around the central plot rather than rushing toward the map’s distant edges.

Ease off near fissures, ledges, and spaces between boulders. Their transparency makes Glass Eggs difficult to see against shadowed, dark rock, so you may ride right past. Also inspect tree bases and rocky hollows, as eggs can sit among terrain features throughout the map.

Activate the pick-up prompt and pay $10K for the egg. Once it lands in your Egg Basket, the “Egg Will Break” timer begins; you have about 30 seconds to reach home before it disappears.

Head directly back to Your Ranch and press DROP to set the egg in an empty nest. Keep a nest slot open before leaving; if you return without space for the egg, the trip is wasted.

Let the growth timer run down, or buy Egg Growth Skip with Robux through the Buy Item menu for an instant hatch. The “You got Egg Growth Skip” notice confirms the purchase, and the egg cracks right away.

Radar gears from the Gears shop, including the Advanced, Jewel, Royal, Magic, Angelic, and Eternal Radars, help you spot eggs faster. They restock on a timer, so buy one before you start sweeping.

Hatch Luck purchased from the board inside your ranch affects these hatches, but Rebirth removes it. Use it before resetting.

How to confirm you hatched a Fox

When the egg opens, the banner shows its rarity first and the pet’s name afterward. A Fox reveal displays “Fox” and adds it to your Index; having one in your ranch or inventory also clears the pet requirement on the Rebirth panel. If the reveal says Horse, you got the first Rebirth pet instead, so continue searching.

Why you should not sell your first Fox

The Rebirth panel consumes pets, and the progression goes Horse, Fox, Unicorn, Phoenix, Kitsune, Kitsune, then Dragon. Rebirth 2 requires the Fox. You can sell an extra, but selling your only one means replacing it with three or four Dragon Egg rolls, or by finding another lucky Glass Egg.

You’ll need to meet the cash requirement too. Before saving up, select Rebirth on the screen’s left side and check the amount shown for your save: the Fox Rebirth requirement has been reported as both $50M and $500M. Completing each Rebirth raises your money multiplier by +1x, adds a pet slot, changes your ranch skin, and resets your cash and any Hatch Luck you bought.

The Fox often serves as an intermediate pet, but mutations from weather are an exception to keep in mind. They multiply the affected pet’s earnings, which means a mutated Fox can earn more than a higher-tier pet without a mutation in the same ranch.
