The Cost of Hope expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 fills its two new regions, Iron Forest and the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, with locked safes, doors, and stashes. Cracking them by hand means hunting for scribbled numbers on walls, torn notes, server screens, and old projectors scattered around each room, which can eat up a lot of time in a Zone that is already trying to kill you.
Working STALKER 2: Cost of Hope codes
These are the numeric codes tied to specific safes and doors found while exploring Iron Forest or working through Cost of Hope’s main missions. Codes are entered directly on in-world keypads, so there is nothing to redeem through a menu.

Where the codes are hidden in-game
Most Iron Forest safe codes are written somewhere in the same room as the lock itself, on labels, wall scribbles, or torn documents. The Northeast Electric Maze safe pairs numbers on the wall with a window outside that determines which digits to use, while the SWYD-West Checkpoint code is etched on the server units in the room where you restore power to the building.
The Laboratory X16 code comes from a projector in the lab’s central rooms during the “Destructive Power of Mind” mission, and the mission-specific codes for “Shadows of the Past,” “Dangerous Way,” and “Price of a Miracle” are revealed as part of those quest lines rather than sitting in a fixed spot on the map.
Note: The Faraday Anomaly safe code is tied to a map marker called “Hint From the Anomaly,” which appears after listening to a Faraday Anomaly near the Testing Workshop. Doing so also grants the Voices of the Zone achievement.
Cost of Hope regions and mission context
Cost of Hope launched on August 20, 2026, alongside the STALKER 2 version 2.0 update, adding the Iron Forest and CNPP regions to the Zone. The expansion follows Skif alongside Duty veteran Zulu and Freedom sharpshooter Mavka as their factions’ rivalry gets pushed aside by a shared search for answers near the ruins of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
Most of the locked safes tied to these codes sit inside abandoned buildings and camps scattered through Iron Forest, while the remaining codes surface naturally as you progress through Cost of Hope’s main story missions.
Codes for a small number of newly discovered safes, including any building near the bridge to the CNPP or the Chief’s Bunker area, may still be missing detailed reward breakdowns as more stalkers reach those rooms.
