How to Get Speed Fast in Steal An Egg (Roblox)

Speed is the stat that gates everything in Steal An Egg. It decides which biomes you can enter, whether you can outrun the guardian chasing you back to your base, and how quickly you can rebuild after a failed run. Plenty of “infinite Speed” tricks circulate for the game, and the one that gets shared most often does not work at all.

Quick answer: There is no free infinite Speed glitch. Claim the free 10,000 Speed from the game’s Roblox group, upgrade the Treadmill as high as your cash allows and stay on it, buy the best Trail you can afford, and claim Pet Index rewards as you fill the collection.

The Wi-Fi disconnect Speed glitch does not work

The circulating trick tells you to open the Shop, tap a Speed pack, and cut your internet connection mid-purchase so the Speed lands but the Robux never leaves your account. It fails. The purchase is processed on Roblox’s servers, not locally, so the Robux is still deducted and you end up paying full price for the pack. Dropping your connection only risks kicking you out of the server while you are carrying an egg.

Buying a Speed pack with the connection cut still charges Robux, so the offline trick gives you nothing.

The same applies to the tab-out and reconnect variation people try during the Hungry Monster event to duplicate chest rewards. Rewards are handed out server-side and do not stack from a dropped session.

Third-party executor scripts that raise walkspeed or automate stealing are widely posted for the game, but they run outside the rules of the experience and put your account at risk of moderation. Everything below is in-game and does not require any external tool.

Speed requirements for every biome

There are nine biomes, and each one has a minimum Speed before you can realistically work it. Your current total sits in the bottom-left of the screen next to a shoe icon. Reaching a biome is only half the job, since you also need enough Speed to sprint the egg home before that biome’s guardian catches you and flings you back to the start.

Claim the free 10,000 Speed from the group chest

The fastest free boost early on is a one-time chest that hands out 10,000 Speed for supporting the game. It is enough to skip past the Lake requirement immediately and get close to the Desert.

Open the free gift chest in the safe zone. It is labelled with the 10,000 Speed offer and lists the actions you need to complete.
Join the Steal An Egg Roblox group in your browser or the Roblox app, then like and favourite the experience.
Return to the game and reopen the chest to claim. If the button is still greyed out, rejoin the server so the game re-checks your group membership.

Treadmill upgrades are your main Speed source

The Treadmill spawns directly in front of your base and is the only unlimited Speed source in the game. Standing on it adds Speed per step, and every upgrade level raises how much each step is worth. Upgrades scale hard: mid-tier levels jump from billions to tens of billions in cash, and the Hacker Treadmill at level 8 pushes gains to roughly +11K per step. The final tier is the Angel Treadmill, which grants +2,000 steps per cycle.

Cash for those upgrades comes from the pets on your farm, so the two systems feed each other. Sell pets you no longer need at the Sell stall and use the Fuse Machine to combine duplicates into stronger versions that earn more per second.

Separate from the level upgrades, a Speed Multiplier prompt appears on the Treadmill and stacks on top of your per-step gain, taking a tier-2 purchase from around +500 to +1.1K per step. The multiplier ladder runs on Robux and tops out at a x256 tier, with the final doubling from x128 to x256 priced at 299 Robux.

Tip: you cannot steal eggs at night. That downtime is the ideal window to sit on the Treadmill and bank Speed for the next cycle.

Trail multipliers and what each one costs

Trails sit in the shop on the right side of the safe zone. Each one applies a permanent multiplier to your movement, so a Trail is worth far more than an equivalent amount of raw Speed. Because the multiplier does not stack across Trails, there is no reason to buy every tier. Skip the cheap ones and save for the highest you can reach.

Eternal Trailx1012.5T cash or 599 Robux
Divine Trailx14300T cash or 999 Robux

The Divine Trail is the best multiplier in the game. If you are grinding cash rather than spending Robux, hold your money and buy it outright at 300 trillion instead of stepping through the mid-tier Trails.

Pet Index rewards and the Friend Boost

Filling out the Pet Index pays some of the largest Speed lumps available without spending Robux. Rewards are tied to rarity tiers, so the payouts grow sharply as you complete the higher sections. The Eternal tier grants 143,000 Speed, and the Divine tier grants 6.8 billion Speed alongside 300 billion cash. Lower entries hand out cash instead, such as 400 billion for a Legendary completion. Claim these manually whenever a section fills, since they do not apply on their own.

The Friend Boost in the lower-left of the UI adds a percentage bonus while you play with friends. A server full of friends stacks that up to a 50 percent boost to money and Speed progression, which is the cheapest multiplier in the game if you can organise it.

Hungry Monster chest drop rates

Feeding infested eggs to the Hungry Monster fills its hunger meter, and reaching 100 percent opens a reward chest. Collecting five spider mutation eggs is enough for a full feed. The chest is weighted toward growth and Speed multipliers rather than raw Speed, so treat it as a supplement to Treadmill grinding rather than a replacement.

Robux Speed packs in the Shop

The Shop sells instant Speed in fixed amounts. These are straight purchases with no grind attached, and they are the only way to jump from a low total to Cosmic-tier Speed in a single session.

Value-wise, the Robux is usually better spent on a Trail multiplier or a Treadmill multiplier tier than on a flat Speed pack, because multipliers keep paying out on every future Treadmill session.

Admin Abuse events

The developers run Admin Abuse events that hand out large temporary Speed bonuses to everyone in the server. During one of these windows you can sprint to the Cosmic biome, grab a Cosmic Egg and get back to base in seconds, even if your permanent Speed is nowhere near the 700 million requirement. These have been tied to weekend sessions announced on the experience page alongside new zone drops, and no specific next event time is confirmed right now.

Checking that your Speed actually applied

Every source above updates the same counter next to the shoe icon in the bottom-left corner. Watch that number rather than the purchase confirmation. A Treadmill upgrade should visibly raise the per-step figure that pops above your character on the next step. A Trail applies as soon as it is equipped and shows as a visual effect behind you while running.

If a reward has not landed, the usual causes are narrow. The group chest will not pay out until Roblox registers your group membership, which sometimes needs a rejoin. Pet Index rewards sit unclaimed until you open the Index and claim them by hand. And a Speed pack that appears to have failed after a connection drop has almost always been processed anyway, so recheck your counter and your Robux balance before buying again.

One last practical note for high-Speed runs: other players can fling you while you are carrying a rare egg, which costs you the egg and the trip. A private server removes that variable entirely once you are running Prehistoric and Cosmic steals regularly.
