Lanterns are the rest points of Valor Mortis, and the maps have 48 spots for them. Resting at a Lantern refills your Health and Flasks, opens the level-up screen and brings regular enemies back. Once the second chapter is behind you, fast travel between Lanterns opens up.
Valley of Ashes, The Outskirts and Fortress hold 6 each, with Caverns and Vale of Wrath on 5. Fallen Village, Cursed Hollow and University have 4 apiece, The Battlefield and City of Orphans 3, and Napoleon's Prison 2. Lanterns you can rest at include Onslaught Arch, Trenches, Village Church, Old Windmill, Broken Bridge and Island of Whispers.
