Cash is the only currency that matters in Zone Defense RNG. It pays for weapon rolls, it pays for stat upgrades, and every rare gun you eventually pull comes out of the pile you build. Holding the wall with the rest of your server is the safe way to earn it. Leaving the wall is the fast way.
Quick answer: Run past the barrier into a high-difficulty area such as Warrior’s Grave Convoy and kill the tougher zombies there, since payouts scale with distance from the Zone. Redeem WEATHER in the Shop first for an instant 50,000 Cash head start.
Farm cash outside the Zone at Warrior’s Grave Convoy
The base area exists to keep new players alive, not to make them rich. Walk past the barrier and a warning appears on screen: “You’re outside the zone! Zombies get tougher the further you go!” That difficulty increase is the whole point. Enemies out in the dark forest zones hit harder, spawn in much denser groups, and drop far more cash per kill than anything that wanders up to the wall.
Warrior’s Grave Convoy is a reliable early destination. Push out, clear packs until your health gets uncomfortable, then walk back toward the Zone to reset. The loop is short and repeatable, and it out-earns wave defense by a wide margin once you have a weapon that can actually kill things out there.
Movement keys that keep you alive out there
You will get surrounded. Sprint is bound to Shift, Roll to Q, and Slide to C. Use roll to break out of a group that has closed in on you rather than trying to shoot your way out, then sprint back toward the Zone. Dying outside the barrier costs you progress on the run, so retreating early is usually worth more than one extra kill.

Add to Google Preferences →Spend cash on Weapon Luck and Weapon Damage first
Two upgrade boards sit near the spawn area, marked by green circles on the ground. Stand in the circle and buy levels directly. These are the only purchases worth making before you start rolling seriously.
| Upgrade | What it does | Why it comes first |
|---|---|---|
| WEAPON DAMAGE | Raises the damage your weapons deal | More damage means faster kills outside the Zone, which means more cash per minute |
| WEAPON LUCK | Improves your odds when rolling for weapons | Rarity rates are steep, so luck decides how much your cash is worth per roll |
Tip: you can buy levels mid-fight. Walking into an upgrade circle during a boss encounter and topping up Weapon Damage is a normal play, not an exploit.
Roll weapons at the blue chest and use Reroll Tokens
Weapons come from rolls at the blue chest, paid for with cash. Each result carries its own rarity rate, and the numbers get long quickly. A Katana rolls at 1 in 1,243 and a Steyr AUG at 1 in 689, which tells you most of what you need to know about how much cash a real upgrade costs.
The weapon pool is wide and covers every slot. Primaries and secondaries include the Mauser C96, Dragunov SVD, M1 Garand, MP7, UMP45, M16, Mossberg 500, Grenade Launcher, Desert Eagle, FN FNC, Revolver, Glock 17, RPG-7 and the Spore Launcher, while melee options include the Machete and the Katana. Auto-roll lets you keep spending while you fight, which pairs well with a farming run since you are generating cash and consuming it at the same time.
Reroll Tokens are a separate currency used to reroll perks. A bad perk roll can leave a good gun feeling useless in a dense wave, so save tokens for weapons you actually intend to keep in your loadout.
Skills tree: Unlock Increased Damage first
The SKILLS menu holds permanent character buffs that stay with you between runs, which makes it a better long-term investment than anything cosmetic. Increased Damage is the one to take first. It compounds with your Weapon Damage levels and directly shortens the time it takes to clear outside-the-Zone packs, which feeds back into your cash rate.
Assault Turrets and holding the wall between runs
Your loadout has four weapon slots, covering Primary, Secondary, Melee and Turret, plus pets. Open the INVENTORY menu and check the Turret tab to see what you currently have equipped along with its stats.

Deploy Assault Turrets at the base before a wave lands. They keep dealing damage while you are repositioning, rolling, or buying upgrades, and a line of them is what lets a small squad survive the larger waves. Drop them before the horde arrives rather than during it.

Giant bosses like the Cybernetic Monstrosity
Giant bosses spawn occasionally, and the Cybernetic Monstrosity is one of the big ones. Its health pool is enormous, but it is not a wall. Upgraded weapons, deployed turrets and a server working on it together bring it down without much drama. Watch the red circles on the ground, since those mark damage zones you should not be standing in.

Free cash from Daily Rewards
Daily Rewards sit in the top-right menu and cost nothing. The first week alone covers starting cash, reroll tokens, a guaranteed high-rarity weapon and two pets, so claiming it should be the first thing you do each session.
| Day | Reward |
|---|---|
| Day 01 | 1,000 Cash |
| Day 02 | 1 Reroll Tokens |
| Day 03 | 1,000+ Weapon |
| Day 04 | 1,639 Cash |
| Day 05 | Pet |
| Day 06 | 1 Reroll Tokens |
| Day 07 | Calibrated Pet |
Codes for free Cash and Reroll Tokens
Codes are the single fastest cash injection available, and one of them is worth more than an hour of early farming. Redeem them all before your first serious roll session.
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
| WEATHER | 50,000 Cash |
| 10KCASH | 10,000 Cash |
| CHARMING | 5 Reroll Tokens |
| 5REROLLTOKENS | 5 Reroll Tokens |
When a code fails, the cause is almost always one of four things. Capitalisation matters, so enter codes exactly as written. Stray spaces from copying and pasting will break it. Each code can only be claimed once per account, and the game will tell you if it has already been used. If a code is brand new, leave and rejoin to land on a different server running an updated version.
The loop that gets you out of the early game is narrow and worth repeating. Claim your daily and your codes, push Weapon Damage and Weapon Luck at the boards, take Increased Damage in the skills tree, then spend everything you earn outside the Zone on rolls. Better guns make the dangerous areas survivable, the dangerous areas pay for more rolls, and the gap between a new player and a stacked one closes faster than the rarity numbers suggest.
