Anime Expeditions: How to Get the Unbound Secret Enel Unit

Craft the Lightning God's Portal, clear the secret map on Hard, and evolve Enel into an Unbound powerhouse.

Craft the Lightning God’s Portal, clear the secret map on Hard, and evolve Enel into an Unbound powerhouse.

Enel, listed in Anime Expeditions as Thunder God Enel, is a secret unit you build toward rather than pull from a banner. The path runs through crafting a special portal, clearing it on Hard difficulty, and evolving the result into Lightning God (Overcharged) with the Unbound trait. Every step depends on farming a single material called Charged Dust.

Quick answer: Craft the Lightning God’s Portal with 4 Charged Dust, complete the “Lightning God’s Portal – Secret” map on Hard difficulty to unlock the Lightning God (Enel) unit, then evolve it into Lightning God (Overcharged).

What you need before you start

The whole chain depends on Charged Dust, which only comes from clearing the Sky Ruins Portal at Tier 5. That portal itself is a drop from Rose Kingdom Act 1 in Infinite Mode. Reaching higher waves makes the drop easier to secure, so the grind starts well before you ever see Enel.

Farm Charged Dust from the Sky Ruins Portal

Head to Rose Kingdom – Act 1 and run it in Infinite Mode. The Sky Ruins Portal drops here at a 2.5% rate, and pushing to around Wave 60 makes securing it more reliable.

Open the Items menu, select the Portals tab, highlight the Sky Ruins Portal, and use Activate Portal. Advance it to Tier 5, which is the tier that drops Charged Dust along with the Storm Trident unique item.

Clear the Sky Ruins Portal at Tier 5 to collect Charged Dust. Repeat until you have at least 4, which is the amount the next craft needs.

Craft the Lightning God’s Portal

Open the Crafting menu and select the Lightning God’s Portal recipe. It costs exactly 4 Charged Dust to build one portal.

Confirm the craft. The finished Lightning God’s Portal appears in your inventory and can then be activated like the Sky Ruins Portal.

Clear the secret map on Hard to unlock Enel

Activate the crafted portal to open “Lightning God’s Portal – Secret” and start it on Hard difficulty. This is the stage that rewards the unit itself.

Finish the map. A successful clear unlocks the Lightning God (Enel) unit and adds it to your roster.

You know it worked when the victory screen shows the unit unlock and Lightning God appears in your unit list. Lock the unit immediately so it can’t be sold or used as fodder by accident.

Evolve into Lightning God (Overcharged) with Unbound

Evolving Enel produces Lightning God (Overcharged), a single-placement carry. The unit reaches its full ceiling with the Unbound trait, a Mythic trait that increases damage by 350%, decreases SPA by 10%, and caps placements at 1.

StatEvolved (Lv 50, Unbound, SSS)Max Upgrade
DMG5.32K (+17.2%)28.10K
SPA4.7s (-10%)5s
RNG21.8 (+21.8%)32
Critical Chance55%55%
Critical Damage100%100%
Attack DPS1.13K/s5.62K/s
Max Placements11

Because Unbound rolls at a 0.1% chance, expect to spend a large stock of Trait Crystals to land it. Bank rerolls from daily and weekly challenges, raid shops, and story clears before you commit them to this unit rather than a weaker Mythic.

Abilities and how the unit plays

Lightning God (Overcharged) is built around electrical burst and control. Its kit runs on four passives and abilities that stack together over a fight.

Storm ChargeIncreases electricity damage
ThundercloudSummons a cloud dealing 25% damage
Molten GoldStuns enemies
StormseekerActive skill

To try it out, place and upgrade the unit in Base Kingdom Act 1 Infinite Mode. Since it is limited to one placement, positioning matters more than usual, so drop it where its range covers the busiest part of the lane.

The build is a long grind gated behind portal farming and a rare trait roll, but the payoff is a self-contained carry that hits 28.10K damage at max upgrade. Farm the Charged Dust first, save your Trait Crystals for the Unbound attempt, and lock Enel the moment it drops.
