Star-Crossed Lovers is a side quest handed out by the Armourer in the village of Maragir, along the eastern edge of Vale Sangora. His daughter went out to pick berries in the woods and never came home, and the search that follows ends in a very different place than a missing-person hunt suggests.
Quick answer: Take the path north-east out of Maragir, loot the roadside picnic camp (Bottle of Wine, Small Knife, Brencis’s Seal, Recruitment Letter) before touching Rovin’s corpse, Compel his Soul using those items as catalysts, then follow the blood trail in Focus Mode, kill the wolves, inspect Lujeta’s body, and report back to the Armourer.
How to start Star-Crossed Lovers in Maragir
The Armourer only offers the job while Coen is human, so the dialogue option will be missing if you walk up at night. Rest or advance time until daytime and speak to him again. He explains that his daughter heading into the forest is routine, but her not returning is not, and Coen can volunteer to go looking for her.
You will need Witchcraft’s Compel Soul ability to finish the investigation, which is a daytime tool. Plan to run the whole quest in daylight rather than switching forms partway through.

There is no waypoint on the daughter herself. Instead the journal drops a search radius, and selecting it on the map highlights the full area you are meant to comb. It sits directly north-east of the Armourer, and it is a big, hilly, tree-choked stretch of snowy woodland that is easy to wander in circles inside.
The reliable approach is to ignore the open ground entirely and stick to the small path that leaves the village and runs into the search zone toward the tower to the north-east. Follow that path and the first clue finds you. A bear and several wolves roam this area, so expect at least one fight before you reach the camp.

Loot the picnic camp before you touch the body
On the left side of the path you will come across what looks like a small picnic laid out in the snow, with a dead man beside it. The order matters here, because the items scattered around the site are the conversation catalysts you use on the corpse a moment later.

Use all three catalysts on Rovin’s soul
During the interrogation, present the Knife, the Wine, and the Seal as catalysts. Each one pries a further admission out of him, and skipping them leaves the picture incomplete.
The full account is this. Rovin had signed on with Brencis’s forces and arranged to meet Lujeta, the Armourer’s daughter, here to tell her he was leaving. She stabbed him for it and walked deeper into the woods. The picnic was a farewell, not a date.
Note: the Recruitment Letter and the mention of Svartrau and Lieutenant Danko are context rather than puzzle pieces. Reading them is optional.
Follow the blood trail and clear the wolves

Report to the Armourer and choose what to tell him
Head back to Maragir and speak to the Armourer. Coen can lay out everything he learned, including that Lujeta was a rebel spy who killed the boy she was meeting, or he can confirm her death and leave the rest unsaid. Either choice closes the quest and pays the same reward, so this is a tone decision rather than a mechanical one.

You know it worked when the Star-Crossed Lovers entry clears from the journal and the reward summary appears on screen immediately after the conversation ends.

Why the quest won’t start or advance
- The Armourer gives no quest dialogue at night. Return during the day, while Coen is in human form.
- Interacting with Rovin’s corpse before looting the camp leaves you without the Knife, Wine, and Seal to use as catalysts. Sweep the ground first.
- The blood trail is only visible in Focus Mode, so it can look like a dead end if you leave Focus Mode off after the interrogation.
- Lujeta’s body cannot be examined while the wolves are alive.
Star-Crossed Lovers is one of the quests attached to the Maragir Wealds region, and it is a compact example of how the game handles investigations. The marker never points at the answer, the corpse holds more than one confession, and the person you were sent to rescue turns out to be the one holding the knife.
