Blox Fruits: How to Complete the Hasan Tomb Secret on Desert Island

Desert Island in the First Sea hides a small tomb underneath the sand, and the only way in is a spot most players walk straight past. Inside, an NPC named Hasan is stuck on a barrel while skeletons close in, and freeing him is one of the Island Secrets added in Update 30. The fight itself is short. The tricky part is finding the drop-in point and knowing that the quest is not finished when the last enemy dies.

Quick answer: Claim the treasure chest on the dark dirt patch beside the cactus near the pyramid corner closest to the village, drop into the tomb, pick Help Hasan, defeat all four Desert Skeletons, speak to Hasan again, then return to the surface and talk to the Desert Merchant to claim the reward.

Hasan tomb secret: requirements and rewards

Everything for this secret happens on Desert Island itself, so there is nothing to prepare beforehand except a weapon that can clear four enemies quickly. The skeletons are low-level, but they hit in a confined space, so a ranged or area attack makes the fight far less messy than trading melee swings in a corridor.

Stars are the reason to bother with every secret rather than just this one. Each completed Island Secret across the First Sea awards a star, and collecting all 40 unlocks the teleporter in Middle Town.

Find the hidden tomb entrance next to the pyramid

Head to the pyramid and walk to the corner nearest the village. You are looking for a small square of darker, lower dirt sitting between a cactus and a fence, with a coconut tree close by. It looks like ordinary ground until you stand right on top of it.

Claim the treasure chest resting on that patch. The chest is the marker, not the puzzle, and taking it opens the passage underneath. If no chest has spawned, the patch still works, so jump onto it and you will fall through.

Follow the passage forward until the cutscene triggers. You will hear Hasan shouting for help, and the camera pans to him balanced on a barrel with skeletons circling below.

Talk to Hasan and clear the four Desert Skeletons

Interact with Hasan when the dialogue box appears. You get two options, Help Hasan and Walk away. Only the first one starts the encounter, so picking the second means walking back down and speaking to him again.

Climb the ladder into the chamber and get your loadout ready before the spawns start. Swapping to whichever fruit or fighting style clears groups fastest saves you a trip back, since the room is tight and the skeletons converge on you.

Fight the skeletons as they emerge from the tombs set into the walls. They do not all arrive at once, so hold a position with room to dodge rather than chasing each one into a corner.

Watch the on-screen counter, which ticks from Enemies defeated: 1 / 4 up to 4 / 4. That counter is your only progress indicator, and it does not reset if you die partway through.

Note: dying here is not a failure state. Respawn, fly back to Desert Island, drop through the same entrance, and finish off whichever skeletons are still standing. The count carries over.

Claim the reward from the Desert Merchant

Once the last skeleton falls, the prompt All enemies defeated! Talk to Hasan! appears. Go back to Hasan and interact with him a second time. Skipping this is the single most common reason the secret sits unfinished.

Leave the tomb and return to the village area on the surface. The Desert Merchant is the quest giver who sent you looking for his missing friend in the first place.

Interact with the merchant to hand in the objective. You will know it worked because the EXP lands immediately and your level ticks up on the spot, and the island’s star is credited.

Why the tomb secret does not complete

You chose Walk away in the opening dialogue, so the skeletons never spawned.
The counter never reached 4/4 because a skeleton was left alive after you died and respawned.
You cleared all four enemies but left the tomb without speaking to Hasan a second time.
You spoke to Hasan but never returned to the Desert Merchant, so the reward was never handed out.

Once Hasan is safe, the Desert Merchant opens up a follow-up dialogue option called Prickly Harvest, which sends you around the island breaking cacti. Some players find it does not appear straight away, in which case spending a little more time on the island before talking to him again tends to shake it loose.
