How the closet sex mini-game worked

The player kept control of their character throughout, clicking the left mouse button to hold a line inside a target zone and, apparently, finish the sequence successfully. Camera shakes signaled what was happening inside the closet, and completing it granted a buff called “stronger together.” Whether that bonus had any measurable gameplay effect was never clear.
Why the mini-game was pulled
The playable roster draws heavily from the films, and most of those characters are under 18. That includes the 17-year-old Annie Brackett. The problem was the outlier in the cast, the 56-year-old Samuel Loomis, whose in-game model shares Donald Pleasence’s likeness.
Because the mini-game did not account for age, it allowed the Loomis character to enter a closet with underage teens such as Annie Brackett. A video of the interaction spread on X on September 5, 2026, and the criticism escalated quickly.
IllFonic responded in under 24 hours. That speed is notable, though it also raises the question of how the interaction cleared quality assurance in the first place.
What Hotfix 1 changed and how to confirm it
The Early Access Hotfix 1 patch went out ahead of the game’s wider launch and removed the sex mini-game completely. The patch notes only referenced bug fixes and did not mention the mechanic by name, but players confirmed its absence right after updating.
