Anime Expeditions is heading into its Berserk phase. Update 2.5 for the Roblox tower defense game has been teased across a run of Discord sneak peeks, and the picture they paint is consistent: a dark, eclipse-lit map, two headline characters from the series, and at least one skull-armored unit with a shiny variant already drawn up.
Quick answer: Update 2.5 is a Berserk-themed content drop that adds new maps and units, with Guts and Griffith teased directly. The developers have said it lands midday on release day — open the Anime Expeditions experience page and press Notify Me on the Update 2.5 event so you get pinged the moment it goes live.

Update 2.5 release timing
The developers have described the rollout as a midday release rather than a precise clock time, so the safest approach is to treat the Roblox event listing as your alarm. The Update 2.5 event sits on the experience page under the heading “NEW CONTENT AND UNITS,” and enabling notifications there is the only official way to be told when the servers flip over.
You will know the update has actually gone live in two ways. The experience title changes away from the current Summer Siege tag, and the in-game update log refreshes with the 2.5 entry. If you are still seeing Summer Siege content and no new log entry, you are on an old server — rejoining forces a fresh one.
Beyond 2.5, the team has already referenced plans for Update 3.0 in its announcements. No timing for that one has been shared.
Why the update is Berserk-themed
The theme was not a surprise pick from the studio. It was decided by a Discord poll that put ten series in front of the community, and Berserk came out on top. That vote is what sets the visual direction for every sneak peek that followed.
| Poll option | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Berserk | Winner — becomes the Update 2.5 theme |

Everything teased for Update 2.5 so far
Here is what the teaser clips and concept art have actually shown, stripped of guesswork. Anything not listed below has not been demonstrated.
| Teased element | What was shown |
|---|---|
| New map | Three-lane layout set under a red eclipse, with skull scenery |
| Map count | Two new maps are expected across game modes |
| Guts | Full teaser clip built around the character |
| Griffith | Teaser clip ending in his transformation into Femto |
| Concept art | Normal and shiny versions of a skull-armored unit |
| In-game model | First look at a character with a metallic, segmented helmet |
The eclipse map and its three-lane layout
The map preview is the most concrete piece of the drop. It runs three separate lanes beneath a red eclipse, with skulls worked into the environment, which puts it firmly in the same tone as the character teasers. Three-lane maps matter for placement, since your damage has to be spread rather than stacked on a single choke point.
Two new maps in total are expected to slot into existing game modes. The mode assignment has not been spelled out, so treat raid or story placement as unconfirmed until the update log is published.

Guts and Griffith teasers, including the Femto turn
Two character teasers were released. The first centers on Guts. The second builds to Griffith transforming into Femto, and it is carried entirely by on-screen text rather than dialogue, closing on the line about needing to keep winning to reach his dream.
The reward for ambition too great… is self destruction.
Neither teaser attached rarity, cost, or ability details to the characters, and no banner information has been shown. Those numbers only become reliable once the units appear in the store menu after launch.

Shiny variant concept art and the first in-game model
Alongside the teasers, concept art surfaced for a skull-armored unit in both a normal and a shiny version. Shiny variants are already a standing part of the game’s pull system, so seeing both versions drawn at the concept stage is a reliable sign the unit is summonable rather than a boss-only model.
A separate clip delivered the first in-engine look at a new character, showing a metallic helmet built from segmented plates. That is the only model confirmed to exist inside the game so far — everything else remains art and teaser footage.

Codes shown alongside the sneak peeks
Four codes were visible in the Discord codes channel during the teaser run, and one of them, EclipseSoon, doubles as a hint at the update theme. Codes in this game are redeemed from the Settings menu using the Redeem Codes field, and a successful entry drops the reward straight into your inventory with an on-screen confirmation.
| Code | Note |
|---|---|
| SummerSiege | Tied to the current Summer Siege content |
| EclipseSoon | References the Berserk eclipse theme |
| LightningGod | References an Update 2.0 unit |
| SummerSoon | Released ahead of the summer event |
Note: codes in Anime Expeditions expire without warning, often when a new update ships. If the field rejects an entry, the code has almost certainly been retired rather than mistyped.
What is live in the game right now
Update 2.5 arrives on top of Update 2.0, which launched on August 31st, 2026 under the Summer Siege banner. That patch added nine units and their evolutions, the Portals mode with five tiers and craftable Secret Portals, the Tidal Siege event mode, and a fishing mechanic with six event ranks and five rods.
It also brought a batch of quality-of-life changes that will carry into 2.5, including a second trait swap slot, setting presets, auto-sell rules for farms and lootboxes, and visible capsule rates while opening. If you are returning for the Berserk content, those are already in place.

Until the patch notes go up, the eclipse map, the Guts and Griffith teasers, and the skull-armored concept art are the only firm details worth planning around. Everything else — rarities, banner rates, which modes the new maps land in — gets settled by the update log, and that is the one place worth checking the moment the servers come back.
