The Doom Slayer is marching into Call of Duty. Black Ops 7 Season 6 brings back The Haunting, Call of Duty’s annual Halloween event, and this year the headline crossover is id Software’s Doom. The season pairs a themed Event Pass and shop bundle with new maps, weapons, and Warzone content, and it lands as the final major update before Modern Warfare 4.
Quick answer: Season 6: The Haunting goes live on September 17. The separate Doom Event Pass starts on September 24, with free rewards for everyone and premium Doom cosmetics locked behind a paid track that typically costs around $10.

Season 6 and Doom event dates
Activision revealed the season on September 8. The core content arrives first, and the Doom-branded Event Pass follows a week later. Here is how the schedule breaks down.
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Season 6: The Haunting launch | September 17 |
| Doom Event Pass begins | September 24 |
| Modern Warfare 4 release | October 23 |
Because Modern Warfare 4 arrives in late October, Season 6 has a little over a month to run. It caps off Black Ops 7’s seasonal cycle across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone.

Doom Event Pass free rewards
The Doom Event Pass draws on both Doom and Doom Eternal. Starting September 24, you can earn the free track simply by playing, gaining XP, and completing challenges. These rewards cost nothing.

Premium Event Pass: Doom Slayer Operator and blueprints
The biggest draws sit on the paid track. The premium version of the Event Pass unlocks the Doom Slayer Operator and his Doom Guy variant, along with a set of themed weapon blueprints and finishing moves. A price wasn’t listed with the reveal, but Call of Duty’s event passes usually run about $10.

Tracer Pack: Doom Demonic Essence bundle
Beyond the Event Pass, a separate shop bundle focuses on the villains of the series. The Tracer Pack: Doom Demonic Essence puts the Icon of Sin and Doom Eternal’s Marauders front and center, paired with tracer weapons, a melee blueprint, and other cosmetics.

Warzone Haunting content: Haunted Hallow and Giant Infected
The Haunting spreads across both games, and Warzone gets its own centerpiece. The Resurgence map Haven’s Hollow returns as a spooky variant called Haunted Hallow, with a visual overhaul and new additions like a Ghost Train.
Warzone also adds Giant Infected, a 64-player mode that pits zombies against humans until only one side is left standing. This mirrors the horror-themed twist running through the rest of the season.

New weapons, maps, and Zombies content
Doom is the headline, but Season 6 is a full content drop. It rounds out the year for Black Ops 7 with fresh guns, several new Multiplayer maps, limited-time modes, and updates to Zombies and Endgame, all tied together by a new battle pass.
Two confirmed additions to the arsenal are the VMP submachine gun and the TR51 Para assault rifle, with more weapons in the mix. Multiplayer also leans into the horror theme through updated versions of existing maps reworked with a nighttime, spooky twist, plus a zombie Rogue Run update and a limited-time Endgame event.
One transition to note: Endgame’s temporary free-to-play window was set to run through Season 5. With Season 6 starting, that free-access period ends, and the mode returns to being available only to Black Ops 7 owners rather than through the Warzone menu.
Doom last appeared in Call of Duty through a 2023 bundle built around the classic games, complete with a retro Super Shotgun and Chainsaw. This time the crossover is far more prominent, with the Doom Slayer placed at the center of the marketing. For Black Ops 7, it’s a fitting send-off, giving players a reason to keep grinding right up until Modern Warfare 4 takes over on October 23.
