Fisch: How to Spawn and Catch Ancestral Abaia in Roblox

The Ancestral Abaia is the Secret-rarity version of the serpent sealed under Skycrest, and it does not appear from ordinary fishing. It only shows up during a dedicated hunt event, and that event only starts when one specific rare weather type is active over the island. Everything else — the crystals, the Idol Favor, the offerings — is setup for that single window.

Quick answer: With all 10 Sky Crystals placed around the gate at Abaia’s Chamber on Skycrest, wait for a Raging Squall, then hold the prompt at the Fire of Spirits to offer fish. When the alert “An Ancestral Abaia stirs in its chamber…” appears, the 10-minute hunt is live.

Requirements to spawn Ancestral Abaia in Fisch

There are only four hard conditions. Miss any one of them and the offering does nothing.

Note: a standard Tropical Squall spawns the normal Abaia Hunt instead. The weather type is the only thing separating the Exotic serpent from the Secret one, so check the weather before you start burning fish.

Open Abaia’s Chamber on Skycrest

Work through the Keeper of the Sky objectives on Skycrest. These are the main source of Idol Favor early on, and Idol Favor is the currency the gate mechanism consumes.

Collect all 10 Sky Crystals scattered around the island. Nothing about the hunt is available until every slot on the gate is filled.

Fly to the large circular stone well on Skycrest and drop through it. That shaft leads straight down into Abaia’s Chamber, where the gate mechanism and the Fire of Spirits sit.

Place each Sky Crystal into the gate ring, spending Idol Favor as you go. With all 10 seated, the gate opens permanently for that server and the chamber becomes a fishable location.

Build Idol Favor at the Fire of Spirits

The Fire of Spirits is the altar inside the chamber. Walking up to it brings up a Fire of Spirits [Hold E] Offer Fish prompt, and every fish you burn returns Idol Favor — heavier and rarer catches return more, with single offerings pushing figures like +330 Idol Favor.

Keep a stock of fish on hand before the squall arrives. Skycrest’s own catch list is convenient here, and higher-value species such as the Aphrodite Anthias or a Gravitas Rose-Veiled Fairy Wrasse are worth far more to the fire than filler catches.

Getting a Raging Squall to appear

The Raging Squall is an RNG-based upgrade of the Tropical Squall, and there is no quest, item, or purchase that guarantees it. The bestiary hint for the fish spells the requirement out plainly.

Only the Raging Squall remembers its true name, Skycrest.

The practical method is to churn through weather cycles. Sundial Totems roll the weather over, so stacking and using them repeatedly gives you many more chances at the rare variant than simply waiting out the natural cycle. Expect several ordinary Tropical Squalls before a Raging Squall lands.

One important limit: the Sundial Totem only affects weather. It cannot start an Abaia Hunt directly and it cannot shorten one that is already running.

Start the Ancestral Abaia Hunt

The moment the Raging Squall is active, return to the Fire of Spirits in Abaia’s Chamber. The window is not generous, so do not be halfway across the island fishing when it starts.

Hold the offer prompt and keep sacrificing fish. Feeding continues until the game registers the trigger rather than firing on a single fish.

Watch for the on-screen alert reading “An Ancestral Abaia stirs in its chamber…”. That message is your confirmation the hunt spawned, and the clock starts there. The hunt runs for 10 minutes, is limited to one active instance per server, and ends immediately once the fish is caught.

Break the four Crest Barriers and land the catch

Ancestral Abaia is protected by a layered Crest Barrier, and you cannot reel the fish itself while any layer stands. Each successful hook strips one layer, and the counter on screen ticks down from 4 to 0.

Cast in Abaia’s Chamber and hook the serpent to break the first Crest Barrier layer. Equip the Gombak Bent-Winged Firefly as bait, which is its preferred bait and improves your odds on every cast.

Follow it. After each broken layer, the Abaia relocates to another fishing spot on Skycrest, moving through the chamber tunnels and the island’s waterways. Four barriers are spread across four separate locations, the chamber included.

Use the Mystic Mirror to teleport and a jetpack or glider to close the gaps quickly. With only 10 minutes on the clock, travel time is the most common reason a hunt fails.

Once the counter hits zero, hook the Abaia one final time and complete the minigame. Its Resilience is 12 (Hard) with a locked -88% Progress Speed and a Level 2 Passive Block, so the bar moves slowly and standard progress modifiers will not fix that. A successful catch fires one of three quips — BEFORE THE SEAL!, THE STORM ITSELF HUNTS!, or ANCESTRAL FURY! — and the hunt event ends.

Its base price was cut from 120,000 C$ to 75,000 C$ in version 2.0.2.1, so older payout figures you may have seen no longer hold.

Why the hunt does not spawn

Fewer than 10 Sky Crystals are seated in the gate — the offering is ignored entirely until all 10 are placed.
The weather is a plain Tropical Squall, which spawns the standard Abaia Hunt rather than the Ancestral version.
An Abaia Hunt is already running on that server. Stock is 1, and a second cannot start until the first ends or expires.
The 10-minute timer ran out mid-chase, which ends the event and requires a fresh Raging Squall to try again.

The realistic bottleneck is the weather, not the fight. Stock up on Sundial Totems and a bag of fish before you start rolling, park yourself near the chamber, and treat the Raging Squall as the thing you are actually farming — the four barriers are just the ten minutes that follow.
