The Summer Season Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 6 includes a Treasure Hunt pointed at the Ito Region, and the photo clue alone gives you very little to work with. The chest is not on a beach or tucked behind a landmark. It is sitting in a plain grass field, a short drive from a road most players fly past at speed.
Quick answer: Fast travel to the winding road just west of Miyoto Iwa Rock in the Ito Region, drive down it, turn left onto the dirt path, and follow it into the open field. Smash the chest there to bank 100,000 CR.
Ito Region Treasure Hunt: Challenge details and reward
The challenge appears in the Festival Playlist under the Summer Season as “Treasure Hunt: Ito Region,” with the standard prompt to follow the photo clue. Everything you need to identify the spot is in the table below.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Challenge | Treasure Hunt: Ito Region |
| Playlist | Festival Playlist, Summer Season |
| Nearest landmark | Miyoto Iwa Rock (chest is west of it) |
| Terrain | Open grass field off a dirt path |
| Credit reward | 100,000 CR |
| Chest appearance | Blue, pink and green Horizon chest |
Smashing the chest also feeds Festival Playlist points into your seasonal progress, which is what unlocks the season’s exclusive cars.

The whole run takes about a minute once you are in position. Any car works, though something with reasonable ground clearance makes the last stretch across grass less fiddly.

How to confirm the Treasure Hunt completed
Contact is instant and unmistakable. The chest bursts apart, “TREASURE CHEST FOUND!” appears on screen, and it is followed by “YOU FOUND CR 100,000!” as the credits land in your balance.
Reopen the Festival Playlist afterwards and the Summer Season Treasure Hunt tile should be marked complete, with your seasonal point total bumped up. If the tile still shows as available, you have not touched the chest yet.
Why players miss the Ito Region chest
Only a few things go wrong here, and they are all navigation problems rather than driving ones.
- Using an older Ito Region location. An earlier Ito Treasure Hunt hid its chest on the beach at the northeastern tip of the region, near Ine. That spot is empty this time around.
- Overshooting the dirt turn. The branch off the winding road is easy to blow past at speed, so ease off once you are rolling downhill.
- Stopping at the edge of the field. The chest sits out in the open grass past the end of the dirt track, not alongside it.
- No road fast travel. If you cannot warp directly to that stretch of road, travel to the nearest unlocked fast travel point and drive in toward Miyoto Iwa Rock from there.
Note: the chest does not respawn once broken, so there is no repeat payout. One hit, one 100,000 CR reward.
Treasure Hunts remain among the fastest playlist entries to clear, and this one is unusually forgiving once you know the field exists. Fast travel in, take the left turn, and you are back on the road with a full six-figure payout in under two minutes.
