The exact pity condition, drop rates, and size mechanics behind the Divine Shattered Colossus in Steal An Egg.

The Shattered Colossus is the only Divine-rarity pet in the Rift system in Steal An Egg, and it sits at the top of the entire pet index with a base income of $3.5B/s. It comes from exactly one place, and because its natural drop chance is 0.5%, most players who own one did not get it from luck. They got it from the pity counter.

Quick answer: Reach 50/50 pity at the Rift Machine while the Shattered Rift Banner is the active banner. The 50th sacrifice awards a Divine Shattered Rift Egg, and that egg hatches into the Shattered Colossus.

The only source of the Shattered Colossus

The Rift Machine is a permanent crafting station in the lobby. You feed it three specific animals, and it produces one Rift Egg. Which egg you get is random, and only one of the three can contain the Colossus.

Inside the Shattered Rift Egg pool, the Colossus is the rarest line. A 0.5% pull from a 20% egg makes it the single hardest reward in the Rift event to hit by chance.

How the 50/50 pity counter works

Every sacrifice you submit at the Rift Machine advances a pity meter, shown on screen as a counter such as PITY 42/50. When that counter hits 50, the machine stops rolling randomly and hands you the top egg for whichever banner is currently active.

Two rules decide whether that guarantee is a Divine egg or a consolation prize. First, the counter is shared, so progress you build on one banner carries across when the banner rotates. Second, the reward is banner-specific. Hitting 50/50 while the Shattered Rift Banner is up gives the Divine Shattered Rift Egg. Hitting 50/50 on the Riftborn Banner instead gives an Eternal egg, which is where World Eater comes from.

Tip: If your counter is in the 40s and the Shattered Rift Banner is not active, stop sacrificing. Spending those last sacrifices on the wrong banner burns the guarantee on an Eternal pet.

Triggering the Divine pity pull

Open the Rift Machine and read the current banner. Only the Shattered Rift Banner leads to the Colossus, so check which of the three banners is showing before you commit any pets.
Note the three animals the machine is asking for. The recipe rotates, and the Shattered Rift Banner tends to pull from the late-game zones, with requests like Crustacia, Crane, Snowy Owl, and Mantaris across Titan Temple, Cosmic, and Cherry Blossom.
Farm those three pets from their home biomes and bring them back to the lobby. You need a full set of three per submission, so plan for repeat runs rather than a single trip.

Submit sets and watch the pity number climb. Each completed sacrifice pushes the counter one step, and anything you pull along the way is a bonus on top of the guarantee you are building toward.
At 49/50, submit one final set while the Shattered Rift Banner is still active. That sacrifice triggers pity and drops the Divine Shattered Rift Egg straight into your inventory.

Place the egg in your pen and let it hatch. The Divine egg is heavy, so carrying it is slower than a normal steal run.

Confirming the Shattered Colossus hatched

You will know it worked in three ways. The egg itself is labelled Divine rather than Mythic or Eternal when it lands in your inventory. On hatch, the pet appears as a large purple, glowing creature that dwarfs anything else in the pen. Finally, the Pet Index records it under the Limited tab, and your income jumps by billions per second.

If the pity pull produces an Eternal egg instead, the banner had rotated away from Shattered Rift before your 50th sacrifice landed. The counter resets, so you start the climb again.

Why some Shattered Colossus pets earn far more than $3.5B/s

The $3.5B/s figure is the base rate. Actual income scales with the pet’s size and its mutation, which is why two Colossus pets can be worth wildly different amounts. A Fractured Shattered Colossus weighing roughly 1.46M kg has been recorded producing $235.3B/s, while a standard hatch sits closer to single-digit billions.

Two systems drive those numbers up. Mutating an egg before it hatches applies a modifier like Fractured, and it usually takes repeated attempts, often 20 to 30 or more, before one sticks. The Fuse Machine takes three Eternal pets and combines them into a single much heavier egg, which is how oversized pets are made. Weight alone is not the whole story though, since a low base rate cannot be rescued by size.

Fractured Shattered Colossus (Divine)1.46M kg$235.3B/s
Fractured Eternal Lunar Dragon1.89M kg$98B/s

Where mutation consumables come from

Mutation attempts are the expensive part of building a high-value Colossus, and the Boss Shop is the practical supply line. Rifts open across the map every 30 minutes, usually around the Titan Temple biome. Walk into the portal, break the crystals ringing the Abyss Overlord, then destroy its arms when they drop in phase two. A kill pays out 1,200 to 1,500 Boss Tokens.

5-minute 1.25x Speed Boost225 Boss Tokens
10-minute 2x Treadmill Booster200 Boss Tokens
10-minute 2x Cash Booster175 Boss Tokens

The 10% Mutation Consumable is the only shop item that matters for this goal, since the Fractured mutation is otherwise locked behind the Boss Mastery grind. Multiple players can enter the same Rift, so joining a full server makes the Overlord fight much faster and your token income much steadier.

Everything about this pull comes down to timing. The pets you sacrifice are replaceable and the farming is routine, but the Shattered Rift Banner window is the one thing you do not control, so the safest approach is to build pity to the high 40s, hold there, and spend your last set the moment the Shattered Rift Banner comes back around.
