Wrath Coins are the only currency that buys the five new vanguard familiars, and they come from one place: clearing the 15-wave Wrath Event on Shining Castle. The mode looks slow on paper, but a run built around the Envy sin ends in roughly two minutes, which makes repeat Hard clears the fastest way to bank coins.
Quick answer: Run the Wrath Event on Hard with Bounty Hunter (3 Sword) equipped, pick the Envy sin before wave one, and repeat. Every clear pays 200 Wrath Coins.
Wrath Coin payout per clear
Hard doubles the coin payout while raising enemy health tenfold. Since a properly built team deletes the wave regardless, Hard is always the better use of your time.

| Mode | Waves | Enemy health | Wrath Coins |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 15 | Base | 100 |
| Hard | 15 | 10x | 200 |
Every match also awards 3x Battle Pass XP and 150 Gems on top of the coins, so the same grind feeds your pass progress.
Surviving all 25 waves of Apostles Vs Vanguards on Land of the Gods also pays 100 Wrath Coins, but it takes far longer than a Hard clear.

Add to Google Preferences →Pick Envy as your sin
Before wave one the stage makes you choose one of seven sins, and the pick stays locked for the whole match. Envy is the one that turns a 15-wave slog into a speedrun. It strips 30 percent of the damage off your strongest non-farm unit, then forces every other non-farm unit to copy that number. Bring one enormous damage dealer, and suddenly your fast attackers hit just as hard.

| Sin | Effect |
|---|---|
| Envy | Strongest non-farm unit loses 30% damage; all other non-farm units match it |
| Pride | One unit only, but 5x damage, 50% more range, place anywhere |
| Greed | Only your first upgraded non-farm unit can be upgraded; every copy deals 4x damage |
| Wrath | Repeat hits on the same enemy grant 50% damage for 30 seconds, stacking without limit |
The other three sins are Lust, Sloth and Gluttony. They work, but none of them shorten a run the way Envy does.
Loadout for a two-minute Hard clear
The team splits into four jobs: one damage anchor, one fast AoE attacker that inherits the anchor’s damage, one cleanse unit, and two farms.
- Damage anchor: Gilgamesh with the Monarch trait. Alocard, Dante or The Struggler work as substitutes.
- Damage spreader: Reimu (Shrine Maid), with a 0.9-second attack speed and full AoE coverage.
- Cleanse: Bounty Hunter (3 Sword), which blocks the mind control from The Original.
- Farms: Tempest Pirate (Nami) and Speed Wagon, with Unlikely Doctor and Yurezu familiars attached.
Bounty Hunter earns its slot twice over. Its Legendary Bounty Hunter passive raises the token payout from a clear, which is why a Hard run can settle slightly above the base 200 coins. Equip it from the UNITS menu before you queue.
Run the same pass through the MEMORIAS menu while you are there, since a swapped-out memoria is the easiest thing to forget before a queue.
Run the Wrath Event on Hard

Without Bounty Hunter on the field, The Original can mind control your units, which is how otherwise clean runs fall apart on the last wave.
Confirm the coins landed
The victory screen is the confirmation. After wave 15 clears, it lists the Wrath Coins earned from the run alongside your Gem reward and character XP progress. A successful Hard clear shows at least 200 coins there, and slightly more with Bounty Hunter’s passive applied. If the screen shows 100, you were on Normal.
Once that screen appears, requeue immediately. The loadout and sin choice stay the same every run, so the only variable is how quickly you re-place your farms.
What Wrath Coins buy in the event shop
The five vanguard familiars cost 1,000 Wrath Coins each, which works out to five Hard clears per familiar. Everything else in the shop is priced at 10 coins.
| Item | Built for | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Holy Sword | Saber (King of Knights) | 1,000 |
| Iron Helmet | The Falcon | 1,000 |
| Blacksmith’s Hammer | The Smith (Forged) | 1,000 |
| Scrap Bluntsword | NotGoodGuy (Free) | 1,000 |
| Witch’s Staff | Medea (Witch of Betrayal) | 1,000 |
| Trait Rerolls | Any unit | 10 |
| Memoria Shards | Memorias | 10 |
| Phoenix Shards | Evolutions | 10 |
| Elemental Shards | Elements | 10 |
| Corruption Crystal | Corruption | 10 |
Buy the familiar that matches a unit you already run before spending anything on shards, since the 10-coin items are trivial to top up later. Event shops in Anime Vanguards do not restock on a schedule, so treat the familiar you want most as the first target and let the rerolls and shards soak up whatever coins are left over.
