E0 Aventurine • Waveflair in Memory of Chaos 12: Elation and FUA Teams

Both Stormcleanse (XII) nodes fall in a single cycle at Eidolon 0, with the full relic, light cone and stat setup for each lineup.

Aventurine • Waveflair arrived on September 12 as a 5-star Quantum damage dealer on the Path of Elation, and the fastest way to see what he does is to drop him into Stormcleanse (XII) — the final stage of Memory of Chaos. He clears it twice over at Eidolon 0: once as the anchor of an Elation lineup, once as the front end of a follow-up attack core.

Quick answer: Both nodes of Stormcleanse (XII) clear in one cycle — 29 remaining cycles — with an E0 Waveflair. Node 1 runs Yao Guang, Robin • Summeretto and Huohuo; node 2 runs Ashveil, Mortenax Blade and Huohuo.

Stormcleanse (XII) node lineups and clear result

The stage starts with 30 cycles and three objectives: win with at least 10 cycles left, win with at least 20 cycles left, and finish with no downed characters. Both halves are cleared on the first cycle, so all three objectives land together. Every unit is Level 80 and Eidolon 0, against Level 95 enemies.

Node 2Waveflair (FUA), Ashveil, Mortenax Blade, HuohuoAlloy Mechatron: King Pom-Pom

Every character in both teams opens with their Technique before the fight starts. That matters more than usual for Waveflair — his Technique, Make Waves in Still Waters, hands him 2 Fervor and 20 Certified Banger before the first action is taken, so he walks in partially charged instead of building from zero.

Why Waveflair works in two completely different teams

The whole kit runs on other people attacking. Every time a teammate uses an attack, Waveflair gains 1 Fervor and the team gains 1 Punchline. At 10 Fervor he immediately fires Cheers! To Summer’s Blaze for free, which deals AoE Quantum Elation damage plus 10 bounces at random targets. That cast then upgrades his next Elation Skill inside an Aha Instant into All In! To Summer’s Blaze, which eats his entire Fervor pool and adds one extra bounce per point spent.

His A4 trace, Revel in Raging Tides, is the switch between the two builds. With another Elation character on the team, all allies get +20% Elation and Waveflair gets an extra +80% for himself. If he is the only Elation unit, his Elation Skill instead counts as a Follow-Up ATK, and every teammate attack also feeds him 2 Certified Banger, 1 Punchline, and +25 SPD for Aha until the Instant ends.

The Fervor cap is 30 at E0, so the enhanced cast is worth the most when it lands inside a well-timed Aha Instant. Yao Guang’s Ultimate summons a real Aha Instant and will trigger it; the Elation Trailblazer’s Ultimate will not.

Node 1: the Elation team against Stellaron Hunter: Sam

The first wave pairs a Frigid Prowler with the Memory Zone Meme “Shell of Faded Rage”. Robin • Summeretto, Yao Guang and Waveflair stack their Ultimates back to back and the wave folds almost immediately, which is the point — every one of those actions is another Fervor and another Punchline banked for the boss.

Sam is the second wave, and this is where Yao Guang earns her slot. Her Aha Instant is the window the enhanced Elation Skill is saved for, and Waveflair enters it with a full Fervor pool plus whatever Punchline the team has generated. Robin • Summeretto covers amplification — her Vibes charge off every ally action, including heals and shields, so Huohuo’s turns are not dead time.

Node 2: the follow-up core against Alloy Mechatron: King Pom-Pom

Swapping Yao Guang and Robin for Ashveil and Mortenax Blade leaves Waveflair as the sole Elation unit, which flips him into follow-up mode. The first wave — Daybreak Squadron: Cinderborne and Daybreak Squadron: Azurewing — is handled by Mortenax Blade and Ashveil Ultimates, and their hit density is doing double duty as Waveflair’s charging engine.

King Pom-Pom is the cleaner demonstration. With fewer targets left standing, the random bounces on Waveflair’s Elation Skill concentrate onto the boss, so an AoE-shaped kit ends up doing single-target work. Mortenax Blade’s Balefire Bind Zone strips DEF and raises damage taken while ally attacks re-apply it, which is why this half of the stage ends in the same cycle as the first.

Full builds: light cones, relics and planar sets

Nothing here is behind an Eidolon. Every unit in both nodes is E0, and the only vertical investment is light cone superimposition.

The two Waveflair builds differ in exactly one slot. Ever-Glorious Magical Girl backs the Elation version because its 4-piece makes Elation damage ignore 10% of enemy DEF, with another 1% per five Punchline accumulated by allies, up to 10 extra stacks. Diviner of Distant Reach is the swap for the follow-up version, where his Elation Skill is being counted as a Follow-Up ATK. Punklorde Stage Zero stays on both: 8% Elation up front, then 20% and 32% CRIT DMG the first time he crosses 40% and 80% Elation in a battle.

Stat targets for an E0 Waveflair

SPD is an offensive stat on this character, not a tempo convenience. His A2 trace gives 30% Elation at 140 SPD and another 1% per point above it, counting up to 200 excess SPD.

  • 140 SPD is the first hard checkpoint; 160 before combat is the practical endgame goal.
  • Aim for 100% CRIT Rate and stop — his traces already supply 18.7%.
  • Body: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, whichever lands you closest to that 100%.
  • Feet: SPD. Link Rope: Energy Regeneration Rate, for Ultimate uptime and the 30% SPD buff.
  • Sphere: Quantum DMG Boost is fine, but prioritise substats — see the caveat below.

Elation damage is not affected by ordinary DMG Boost effects. A Quantum sphere only improves his ATK-scaling Skill and Ultimate hits, which are a small share of his total output, so a sphere with stronger CRIT and SPD substats is often the better piece.

How to confirm the clear registered

After the second node ends, the Challenge Completed screen lists all three Stormcleanse (XII) objectives as achieved along with your remaining cycle count. A one-cycle run through both halves leaves 29 cycles on the board, comfortably past the 20-cycle and 10-cycle thresholds, with no downed characters ticked off automatically because neither team loses anyone.

One scheduling detail is worth knowing before you rebuild anything: Memory of Chaos does not refresh during Version 4.5. The patch runs five weeks instead of six, so the mode skips this cycle entirely and your existing clear stands until 4.6. Apocalyptic Shadow and Pure Fiction reset on their own schedules, but if you are testing Waveflair, the MoC board you are looking at now is the one you will keep for the rest of the patch.
