Apex Legends Season 30 Split 2: Every Legend Buff and Nerf

The Marked midseason update reworks Conduit, Fuse, and Catalyst while trimming Axle and Seer.

The Marked midseason update reworks Conduit, Fuse, and Catalyst while trimming Axle and Seer.

The Marked midseason update arrived with Split 2 on September 15th, and it leans hard on Legend balancing. Conduit, Fuse, and Catalyst all received deep reworks to their abilities and upgrade trees, Bloodhound picked up follow-up tuning, and Axle and Seer lost some of their strongest tools.

Quick answer: Conduit, Fuse, and Catalyst were buffed with new upgrades and smoother abilities, Bloodhound’s Ultimate and Tactical were refined, and Axle and Seer were nerfed.

Conduit buffs

Conduit’s Ultimate, the Energy Barricade, is the centerpiece of her update. Deployment has been smoothed out so it fires faster and returns you to your weapon sooner, and you can now toggle its orientation while targeting to place jammers in a forward line.

The jammers themselves spawn higher and slightly closer together, covering more vertical space, and they activate significantly faster so the barricade becomes a threat almost immediately. A new HUD element warns you when your placement will cause jammers to break, and individual jammer markers turn red at any targeting spot where they would fail.

Tactical change

The shield bar now shows a preview of how much Temp Shield will be generated by the end of the regeneration period, so you can read the payoff before it lands.

New Level 2 upgrades

Both previous Level 2 upgrades, Battpack and Bigger Jam, were removed and replaced with two new choices.

  • Concurrency: Refire Energy Barricade once with no cooldown within 10 seconds of the initial cast. Jammers spawn in a tighter formation with two fewer jammers.
  • Jammed Up: Energy Barricade’s jammers gain a 25% larger radius, and enemies damaged by them have their HUD jammed for 10 seconds.

Fuse buffs

Fuse absorbs several former upgrades into his base kit while getting a faster, punchier Ultimate. His Passive now grants 25% Explosive Damage Resistance at base, and he can see ordnance highlighted in the world within 30 meters of him.

Tactical change

  • Knuckle Jump is now available at base, but jumping no longer reduces Tactical cooldown.
  • Jump power was moderately decreased, so Fuse gains less momentum when jumping.
  • A visual indicator now shows the radius where the jump can be activated.
  • The time to return to weapons after firing was significantly reduced.
  • You can now aim down sights to zoom while aiming.

Ultimate change

The Motherlode raise time is slightly shorter, and the firing arc was adjusted so the main explosive projectile lands more quickly and responsively, with an indicator visualizing the radius of the initial and subsequent explosions. Mini-bombs now detonate sooner, speeding up the rollout of explosions, and the damage falloff on the initial blast was reduced so enemies near the edge take a higher share of the maximum damage.

Upgrade changes

Knuckle Jumper (Level 2) and Wreckless (Level 3) were removed, and Reignition moved down to Level 2.

  • Pyro Techniques (Level 2): Doubled the radius of the persistent flames.
  • Reignition (Level 2): Ultimate recharge rate improved from 1 second per 2 explosive damage to 1 second per 3 explosive damage.
  • Big Bang (Level 3, new): Knuckle Cluster explosions cover a 50% larger area.
  • Sticky Bomb (Level 3, new): Knuckle Cluster’s initial projectile is 25% larger and sticks to enemies; every 7 hits on an enemy cuts its cooldown by 1 second.

Catalyst buffs

Catalyst gets quality-of-life fixes to her building and a reshuffled upgrade tree. Her Passive changed so she is no longer immune to other Catalysts’ abilities.

Tactical change

  • Placing Piercing Spikes on a valid door or doorway now automatically reinforces or rebuilds it.
  • Cooldown dropped from 20 seconds to 15 seconds.
  • Spike height increased, making them harder to jump over.
  • The projectile now deals damage when it hits enemies.

Ultimate change

Dark Veil’s firing time was significantly reduced, making the wall smoother to deploy and raise. Allies are no longer slowed or blinded when passing through it.

Upgrade changes

Sole Piercer was removed. Hidden Spikes moved up to Level 3, while Resilient Veil and Ferro-Door dropped to Level 2.

  • Ferro-Door (Level 2): Max reinforced doors raised from 4 to 6.
  • Resilient Veil (Level 2): Ultimate cooldown reduced from 150 seconds to 120 seconds.
  • Ferro-Frenzy (Level 3, new): Max Spike count increased by 1. All Spikes are 50% smaller but deal faster tick damage.

Bloodhound buffs

Bloodhound’s rework continued into Split 2 with refinements to their Ultimate and Tactical. Earlier hotfix work reduced cloak visibility inside the dome and stopped ring damage from dropping the cloak, while the Tactical gained an extra second of scan length and more frequent snapshots that fade over time.

The newest tuning speeds up how quickly Sonar snapshots begin fading, and snapshots now disappear more readily when you see the head of either the snapshot or the player being tracked.

Axle and Seer nerfs

Two Legends were pulled back. Axle’s Kickstart drone was the main target, since a short-cooldown ability that heavily punishes a single victim needed more counterplay. Seer lost the frustrating turn slow on his Tactical.

AbilityBeforeAfter
Nitro Gate launch speed750700
Ultimate HP200150
Base Ultimate cooldown90s120s
Ultimate stun duration1.5s0.25s

The Ultimate’s knockback arc was also widened while its max height was reduced, giving the victim more agency over where they get displaced. Jump Gate was replaced with a new Drone Deployer upgrade that brings the Ultimate cooldown back down to 90 seconds.

Seer

The turn slow when hit by his Tactical, Focus of Attention, was removed entirely. The Tactical’s output remains strong without that punishing effect.

You can confirm the changes are live by checking each Legend’s upgrade menu in the loadout screen, where the new Level 2 and Level 3 options appear once you jump into Split 2. If the old upgrades still show, the update has not finished downloading.
