Catching one Eko and one Pomegg is a fixed objective in the Forest of Falling Stars, and it blocks progress on the Chapter 1 Elite Training board until both creatures are registered. Both live in the same area of Breezy Plains, but they do not share a spawn spot — Pomegg wanders the open flowered ground, while Eko sits up near the stone ruins at the top of the hill.
Quick answer: Find Pomegg in the open forest floor near the broken archway, then ride uphill to the ruins under the Soaring Glide structure for Eko. Both spawn at Level 20–25.
What the Eko and Pomegg task is tied to
The objective appears twice in the game’s UI. It shows up as the Elite Training task Stargazer under the Chapter 1 achievement “First Steps with Aniimo: Forest of Falling Stars,” where it pays out 2 badges, and it also tracks on screen through the Aniimo Enthusiast quest as “Catch 1 Eko & 1 Pomegg.” Clearing four tasks on that Elite Training board is what lets the Chapter 1 story step “Fragrant Colors (Part 1)” move forward.

The other main tasks on the same board are activating the Bloom in the Forest of Falling Stars, raising two Aniimo to level 25, catching and reporting 30 Aniimo in total, and attending the Bloom Festival. You only need four of them.

Add to Google Preferences →Aniipod requirements for a Level 20–25 catch
Eko is a Wind, Support-role Aniimo at the Lumin stage with a base catch rate of 56% at full HP. That number is multiplied by the Aniipod you throw, and each Aniipod also has a hard level ceiling. The forest spawns sit at Level 20–25, which rules out the plain Aniipod entirely.
| Aniipod | Multiplier | Works up to | Eko at full HP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aniipod | ×1 | Lv 1 | 56% |
| Aniipod Pro | ×1.5 | Lv 25 | 84% |
| Aniipod Hyper | ×2 | Lv 35 | 100% |
| Aniipod Mega | ×2 | Lv 35 | 100% |
| Aniipod Track | ×2 | Lv 35 | 100% |
| Aniipod Ultra | Guaranteed | Lv 35 | 100% |
| Sparkling Cube | Guaranteed | Lv 35 | 100% |
Those percentages assume an untouched target. Damaging the creature, breaking it, or throwing from behind pushes the real odds higher, so an Aniipod Pro is enough for the forest population even though it is not a guaranteed catch.
If your throw is refused with “This target’s level is too high. Try raising your level before coming back to catch it,” you have hit the Aniipod’s level ceiling. That happens most often with Pomegg spawns outside the forest, which can reach Level 44 and need to be worn down in battle first.

Where to catch Pomegg in the Forest of Falling Stars
Pomegg is the easier half of the objective. The pink creatures are common across the low, open part of the forest, particularly around the broken stone archway and the scattered trees past the ruins. Nearby spawns typically sit around Level 22.
Where to catch Eko in the Forest of Falling Stars
Eko is the one people miss, because it does not share Pomegg’s ground. The Forest of Falling Stars is its only habitat in Idyll, with 20 placed spawn points across the area at Level 20–25, and the reliable cluster is at the top of the hill rather than down in the flowers.

How to confirm the objective completed
Each successful throw pops an Aniilog card for the creature you just registered, and the quest counter on the HUD moves up. Once both are in, the tracker reads 2/2 and swaps the objective text for a Claim Rewards prompt. Clearing the Aniimo Enthusiast quest hands over Glimmer x30 and an Incredible Egg x1, while the Stargazer task credits 2 badges toward the Forest of Falling Stars Elite Training board.
If the counter does not move after a catch, check that the creature you caught was inside the Forest of Falling Stars boundary — a Pomegg caught elsewhere in Breezy Plains registers in the Aniilog but does not advance this task. Hold on to the Eko, too: it evolves into Eklue at Level 25 once its acquired ATK Potential reaches 6 or higher, which pairs neatly with the “raise 2 Aniimo to level 25” task sitting on the same board.
