Raising your Wayfarer level in Aniimo comes down to one thing: stacking EXP from the activities that pay the most for the least travel. Enemy levels and challenges scale up as you climb, but so do the rewards, so the goal is to keep every claimable objective moving at once instead of grinding a single spot.
Quick answer: Claim every finished Elite Training, main story and Journey reward first, then run one compact field loop that chains Pathfinder Challenges, new catches, Lumin Amber and area milestones before closing out your Daily Activities.
Wayfarer EXP raises your character level and the level cap for your creatures. It does not fill an individual Aniimo’s own bar, which needs Experience Gems or Growth items instead. Everything below feeds the Wayfarer level.

Aniimo EXP sources and what they pay
These are the dependable EXP sources and their typical payouts. Higher-tier and higher-level versions sit at the top of each range.

A finished objective pays faster than any new route, so start in the menus. Elite Training and the story log usually hold the largest single bursts of EXP you can grab right now.
Elite Training
Elite Training is the steady backbone of leveling. It splits into five tracks: Core Courses, Path of Twining, Path of Discovery, Path of Victory and Path of Splendor. Each Path course pays 100 EXP, while Core Courses scale from 300 up to 1,500 EXP as your level rises. Core Course tasks include using Nurture, earning Bronze and Silver Completion Badges, and catching specific Aniimo. Clearing enough of them triggers a title promotion, such as Veteran Wayfarer, which unlocks further tasks worth another chunk of EXP.
Main story and Journey quests
Lore main quests give the biggest single payouts, up to 2,000 EXP each, and they carry your progression forward at the same time. Journey side quests reward 600 to 1,000 EXP, run shorter than main story missions, and double as area exploration. Check the Clue tab in your Log too, since finding clues around the map opens new Journey questlines you can then track.

Build one field loop that pays several times
The fastest sustained method is not a single activity but a compact route that advances several EXP sources on one trip. Pick a tight cluster on the map rather than crossing a whole region for one reward, then chain the following as you move.

Daily Activities and Polaris Institute Courses
Daily Activities are the most sustainable EXP once your route is done. Tasks such as defeating enemies, taking photos and spending Primenergy fill on their own during normal play, and the Activity Chest gift packs award up to 1,800 EXP. Because most of this progress accrues while you are already out exploring, claim these from the Institute Guide’s Daily Active menu after your loop rather than grinding each card in isolation.

The Polaris Institute Courses add small, easy top-ups. Basics, Element Interactions and World Perception tutorials each hand over 100 EXP for completing a short lesson, such as the Twining basic control tutorial. They are one-time claims, but worth clearing while you learn the systems.

Bosses and Sanctums: when they are worth it
Alpha and Omega bosses are a bonus on top of clears you were going to make, not a farm. An Alpha defeat pays 150 EXP and an Omega pays 250 EXP, with a large first-clear bonus of around 600 EXP the first time you beat one. Every attempt spends Primegy, so treat an uncleared boss as a prepared detour on your path rather than an unlimited loop.
Sanctums are the puzzle dungeons dotted around the map, and a first clear awards 200 EXP alongside chests and progression. Take that reward while you are there, but do not run them purely for Wayfarer EXP. The overworld route above pays out faster for the same time.

How to confirm your level went up
Each claim pushes your character EXP bar forward, and the level number in your character menu ticks up when the bar fills. Hitting an Elite Training threshold also fires a title promotion notification, such as Veteran Wayfarer, which raises the level cap available to your Aniimo. If your bar has stopped at a cap, the next Elite Training promotion requirement is what gates further progress, so check that course rather than grinding more enemies.
